Jim, Thank you so much for your amazing efforts bringing this music back to life. Cant imagine laying down each track of the harmonies, singing take after take with subtle variants that combine in perfect tune. Tori... Wow, just wow. No words.... You haven't just covered Karen as a singer, but The Carpenters as a vocal group. You've mastered the secret to overdubbed choral vocals. Blending with an incomplete "ensemble" that can't respond to each other in real time is damn hard, folks. No amount of Vocalign, Autotune, and digital sorcery can generate the secret sauce. Nice. After searching around a little, I see Fil/Wings of Pegasus picked up on this too.

Then in the song Walk On By. It’s a duet. In Tori’s original she’s Richard in the backing and here in the main. Right to the camera, Richard/harmony/Karen and repeat. I've seen many videos of singers trying to sound like Karen Carpenter but Tori sings like Tori and sounds very much like Karen. We commonly see singers trying to emulate their favorite singers but it's important to find your own niche'. Tori is very very talented and deserves to be praised for her own talents. Her pitch is marvelous and expression is wonderful. Lovely.

This is eerie. Saw the carpenters live in Vegas 71 I think when I was 13. She was still behind the drums at the time. This young lady is very close to Karen but I can still hear differences. That being said excellent performance!

I listen to alot iof music, its my safe place , im terminally sick from a punch , its given me extreme depression and anxiety severe night terrors and extreme ptsd with suicidal tendencies, when i clise ny eyes especially when Tori sang weve only just begun , i was litterly in 17th October 1970 watching the ed sullivan show and karen was playing drums in her iconic yellow dress singing this. For as long as humans exist they'll always go back to this ear (60's-70's) to cover and recreate the best music. They will not be covering any songs post (maybe the 80's). Wow, Tori has all the natural ease and musicality of Karen Carpenter. They are both rare contraltos. Tori's voice is just a tad fuller, which is, if anything, a good quality. Those of us who are old enough to remember real music thirst for more. I would like to hear Tori sing something original that is composed for her voice.

This aurally amazing cover has taken listeners back to a beautiful bygone era, brought back beautiful memories. Tori we need you to rise, to succeed and to inspire a disenchanted Gen Z that there’s beauty in this world.
