Sadly many here are dead like you said from the killing and diseases. Btw it's interesting bc .ost latinos that I know or have spoken to don't know that they actually have African roots hense, many dances and other traditions practiced in Latin America, and the Caribbean.

The lyrics really resonate with what I'm going through and especially my baby brother who is suppose to be graduating high school in just 2 days, who is ready to inspire the world through music which is his ultimate dream as well as mine, but thank you for this cover and giving me a little extra hope and faith that he's going to pull through and live the adventurous life he deserves. Tori you mean the world to me and your music truly keeps me grounded and optimistic, you are a God given gift and I thank you for sharing your gift with me. Please anyone who sees this pray for my baby bro so that he can make his mark on this place we call our home "Earth". May you all find Love, peace and happiness in life! My family is Native American and I’ve been so connected to the culture and history. You can feel the energy of the land still. This means so much now . It has such a deep meaning deeper than surface thoughts .

Came here because I recognized her as one of the cast members of SING and now I'm convinced that she alone is convincing enough to go watch the movie. Nice job, Tori Kelly.

You think the only people who are people , are people who look and think like you but if you walk the footsteps of a stranger you’ll learn things you never knew... what a powerful message in a Disney movie
@Nonnie_boy10 күн бұрын
Such a beautiful and warm sound with such a powerful message. In the end, we are one and the same. We come from different places, and that influences our lifestyle and decisions. That doesn’t make us better than our neighbors from another continent - not at all. If you travelled or listened to other people, you might just “learn things you never knew you never knew”❤❤

I'm so glad Disney doesn't use the stereotypical crappy singers like this in their songs. Disney knows what sounds pretty and that's more of a pretty princess voice.

You think you own whatever land you land on The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim But I know every rock and tree and creature Has a life, has a spirit, has a name You think the only people who are people Are the people who look and think like you But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger You'll learn things you never knew you never knew Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned? Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? How high does the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon For whether we are white or copper skinned We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains We need to paint with all the colors of the wind You can own the Earth and still All you'll own is Earth until You can paint with all the colors of the wind

Tori Kelly has the purest, most powerful voice I have EVER heard in my life. Her tone, emotion and control are well beyond those of the most famous vocalists - I think she's incapable of missing a note or losing control of her voice. I just wish she recorded more songs I could relate to. She literally has the vocal power to bring people to tears but I feel like her own songs are so bland and don't take advantage of that at all.

i agree with you. she is my favorite cause she doesn't let fame get to them too like everyone else. she stays pure
