I lived past the age of 21 partially because of this woman’s music. It made me feel like I wanted to live one song longer. Then another. Then another. Thank you Tori. I’m an RN now and you’ve helped me live long enough to help other people live on. Sometimes one hour at a time.

It's amazing how a song can take on a different meaning, the older I get. I'm 43 and have been a fan since my early teens. I have two amazing children and I just played this song for them while making a valentine box for school ... And I just lost it and balled. Her lyrics and metaphors are so powerful. They continue to be an influence and inspiration for the way I think about things and view life. Truly an artist that reaches the soul like very few can.

The first time I heard this was on a cold Winter day in my car. I pulled over to listen, mesmerized, on an icy road under falling snow, living in a town I hated but couldn't leave. I didn't catch who it was on the radio. It was like the time I saw the most beautiful woman in the world on the Star Ferry crossing from Hong Kong to Kowloon, simply brush the hair out of her eyes, and I saw novels. I listened to the same station hoping to catch the song again and find out who it was. Some time later, I lay in bed late one night and the song came on the radio. I was transfixed when the phone rang. A very rare event in my tiny basement apartment. I didn't jump out of bed to answer it. I had to hear this song again, see the beauty in Hong Kong again, and learn who was singing. The phone rang and rang and then stopped. The next day my mother called me. She said, "Your grandmother died yesterday. I tried to call you."

This is a superb, the highest class of a vocal performance. It is close to flawless, and every tone and sound fits the emotions. I have nothing than admiration for her.

I lost my grandma unexpectedly at 12, the only woman I'll ever truly know as a mother. Tori came along and helped fill that huge void left by such an amazing woman. Thank you for being an equally amazing woman and inspiration, Tori 💖

All time favorite Tori tune. Last night I had a flotation therapy session and I had my own playlist i made on in the pod. When this song came on.... holy hell. I cant even describe the feeling of being completely surrounded by this song. Just feeling that building composition wash over me. The whole experience took me somewhere outside of the pod. If you float and like to listen to your own playlists, definitely add this track. Its amazing

Snow can wait, I forgot my mittens Wipe my nose, get my new boots on I get a little warm in my heart when I think of winter I put my hand in my father's glove I run off where the drifts get deeper Sleeping Beauty trips me with a frown I hear a voice, "You must learn to stand up For yourself 'cause I can't always be around" He says, when you gonna make up your mind? When you gonna love you as much as I do? When you gonna make up your mind? 'Cause things are gonna change so fast All the white horses are still in bed I tell you that I'll always want you near You say that things change, my dear Boys get discovered as winter melts Flowers competing for the sun Years go by and I'm here still waiting Withering where some snowman was Mirror, mirror, where's the crystal palace? But I only can see myself Skating around the truth who I am But I know, Dad, the ice is getting thin When you gonna make up your mind? When you gonna love you as much as I do? When you gonna make up your mind? 'Cause things are gonna change so fast All the white horses are still in bed I tell you that I'll always want you near You say that things change, my dear Hair is grey and the fires are burning So many dreams on the shelf You say I wanted you to be proud of me I always wanted that myself When you gonna make up your mind? When you gonna love you as much as I do? When you gonna make up your mind? 'Cause things are gonna change so fast All the white horses have gone ahead I tell you that I'll always want you near You say that things change, my dear Never change All the white horses aah-aah Mmm-mmm

I heard this beautiful thing the other day - a woman was remembering walking in the snow with her dad, how she would walk in his footsteps b/c with the snow it was easier. She said that one day, her dad realized that she was doing this, and he shortened his steps to make it easier for her. *melt Made me think of this song. My father died recently and I wanted to play this on the piano, but my fingers don't remember it anymore :.( #2020sucks Also, Tori makes me want to burn all my lyrics and poems b/c she's just the master. #notworthy

Listened to this on my evening walk. I listened to the album version first and then listened to this live performance. It was still playing when I walked up on the porch and I stood and watched my wife feeding our kids through the window. It truly was surreal.

Stunning. The lyrics. Her voice. Her prowess on the piano. I just found this video. It’s a masterpiece. She’s beautiful inside and out. The emotion that she shows while singing this song is obvious. She wrote this about her dad which just gives it even more meaning to her and us listening to it. I will be listening to this forever.

Tori is amazing. I've watched many people sing songs over my 50 years. Before she sings, you can see a memory spark for her. She's far away in the past but at the same time, present with her audience. It's a rare thing to see in artists who sing the same songs thousands of times during their career. She is one of a kind.

So so lovely. 28 or 29, but she looks even younger. This is so pure, and her signature way of gazing out into the audience and her magical presence is already there.

Only recently come across this heart rendering performance. Even if it wasn’t for the hint of tears in her eyes all the way through and the occasional catch in her throat (particularly near the end), the beauty & strength of the lyrics alone would be sufficient to touch our souls. This is a perfect illustration of the power of genuine emotion combined with live performance. Powerful enough for me to take a serious look at my relationship with my own daughter. Thank you Tori.
