PathPilot Quick Tips | New Features of 2.2.2

Tormach is dedicated to continuously updating and improving PathPilot with free upgrades to users. The latest version of PathPilot 2.2.2, is packed with many new features, mostly done to improve ease of use. Leading off the new features is an updated Tormach Machine Configuration Chooser, that makes it very clear which machine to upgrade to, including the 770M+ and 1100M+.
The Tool Table has been improved with better search functionality, shading of currently used tools, and new dropdowns to sort out unused rows. The Override Sliders now go up to 200%, and give you a gradated yellow color as they move towards the max setting. The G-code area has been improved by leaving the code in place if the program has been stopped, and the stop point is color labeled. The Preview window now informs you if the entire program is not showing. This can be revealed with a right click on the g-code window and selecting "load all preview lines."

The expanded tool offsets means I can assign a 10 tool range to each student in my classes and still have plenty of room for preset labs and one off projects. VERY helpful.

My mill is assembled, but I haven't used it yet. I believe you said that hitting Cycle Start after a Stop starts the g code from line 1. Is that correct? You mentioned something about hitting Reset after a stop, but I didn't catch what you were getting at. I imagine there is a way to pick back up where you left off, but I'm not sure which one of these it would be. Could someone please clarify?

Nice. It would be nice to also have an option to just conence the lines to remove the spacing. The way I logically place tools in the Offset creates spacing. I would like to be able to just see all of them but without empty spacing with a click of the mouse.

Try choosing show tools with descriptions on the Offsets Tab. This option will hide all rows with empty descriptions.

You broke the M30. It no longer rewinds as it should.

M30 should scroll the display back to line 1 since it is a 'graceful end and reset' of the program. Stopping anywhere else prematurely by Stop button is different and retaining the context of where you are in that situation is helpful. For now, clicking the Reset button after M30 gets you the previous behavior.
