one i am sure is a t128. another one sounds like a thunderbolt on a VERY low setting and there are 2 confirmed whelens from the comments around as well.

One of the scariest sounds in my opinion. If I were visiting that area of the US and heard this siren, I'd probably need a new pair of pants.

dude the lower pitched siren is the thunderbolt. the T128 sounds like a thunderbolt too but it doesn't have the sharp edge a thunderbolt does and it starts to WAH on the windown and a thunderbolt wont do that. (the thunderbolts sound will diapear after 5 seconds as well.) the lower pitched siren however did not do what i said the T128 did.

it's wierd now adays huh? the thunderbolt 1000s and other sirens sound the wailing attack signal for the tornados in some cities when they SHOULD be alert. but now that attack doesn't mean what it used to the steady tone is no longer all clear and is becoming less of an alert signal as well.

People just driving around calmly in a tornado warning always worry me. And in Oklahoma City that could be suicide! The past three years should have taught those of us in the midwest and south not to take tornado warnings lightly. Unless I have live doppler radar in my vehicle (which I don't), or know the exact location the storm is heading (via radio or phone), I stop at a public building and go inside to find out what's going on.

Get something like MyRadar too. You can look at a warning and see if it has a confirmed tornado or not too (or other severe weather)

I can hear an ACA Banshee coming from Del City, a FS Modulator 5020 coming from Tinker Air Force Base, and OKC's Whelens. Listen carefully, I think I can hear an Eclipse 8 coming from Del City.

Actually the steady tone or alert would be the all clear signal for thunderbolts because thunderbolts were first used for the cold war and the steady tone was to signal the all clear.

HyperFoxTails whelens, and by the way, this tone doesn't mean all clear in the US. It typically means weather warning. Now, some places use attack for weather warnings, but most of the US use the steady tone for weather.
