11:12 For anyone who doesn't know, Chad Varah was the founder of the Samaritans who have important partnerships with Network Rail, Scotrail and various other tocs. Among other things they provide suicide prevention training for railway staff. Also, in case anyone is wondering about the number of trains going to Glasgow Queen Street, there are two lines - direct via Falkirk High and the long way round via Falkirk Grahamston and Gartcosh. Trains for Helensburgh and Milngavie (pronounced "Mull-guy") also serve Glasgow Queen Street but on the low level line via Bathgate and Airdrie. Finally, stabling of trains at Haymarket Platform 0 isn't unusual. Edinburgh Waverley is full to overflowing and there is no spare capacity for anything that isn't going anywhere right away.
@Tornado9224 жыл бұрын
Well thank you kindly for all of that information! I'm sure many people as well as myself are greatly appreciative of all of the work that Chad Varah has put into the work that the Samaritans do for people all around the country. And also thanks for all of the information in regards to the rail network around the area

Great video lots of Variety. I was surprised how Overwhelming Scott rail was I was expecting more LNER and other train company’s. Nice to see the pendolino and the voyagers
@Tornado9224 жыл бұрын
Scotrail was always going to be the more prominent of the TOC's seen throughout this film. LNER was only going to be one or two trains at best. Avanti West Coast was always going to be a long shot as they only come here once every 2 hours. Even Cross Country was on the cards for a rare sight to be seen here during my stay
