Mad respect for you, Brad! My husband and I were able to repair our mower with your detailed instructions! I don’t know how you manage to do it by yourself (and with just one hand)!?! It wasn’t “easy,” but it sure was a lot cheaper (to do it ourselves) and the feeling of accomplishment is amazing!! Atta’boy!! Keep up the good work!!

Wow, that was awesome. I found this exceptionally well done. A one handed guy with helpful wife assisting, great camera work and very clear instructions. My Zero turn just stopped moving. The arms are sluggish as I pull or push forward> So maybe it is the belt? hmm I dunno, but at least now I know how to get to it, and yes I think I will remove the wheels too. Thank you so much for this video, it was a joy to watch and learn.

Good video! Had to do almost the same repair but without removing the PTO. I think by towing loads of rocks in a trailer was too much for the brackets and the cross brace. Yep, trying to get to the bolts holding the bracket to the motor bolts was fun. Possibly adding another lower cross brace might help the loading between the 2 hydro gear units. Did this for a Z4200 ‘08.

Great video. I apparently went over a branch and the belt for the hydro units came off, now I haven’t figured out how to get it on, had vertigo and can’t work upside down. I can lift rear with my tractor and after your video there is no excuse for me not trying my best to get it done, thanks again. If you have any hints for a novice to get belt on let me know .

Getting the machine situated to where you can work on it is the biggest issue so if you can accomplish that you’ll be good! It sounds like you should be able to. Just take your time and watch the video as many times as needed. I had a little more involved than just the belt as you saw, but patience wins every time in my book:)

I love your work. I enjoy watching you at work. You don’t hold back tips or advice and your videos are great. I had my drive belt break on my toro ss5000. I couldn’t drop the clutch. I was Able to unscrew the 2 screws that hold the clutch from spinning. And put on the new drive belt. Did I do wrong?

Great videos mate, Could you show how to change the hydrostatic oil on a Toro Z4200 timecutter. I was told you can't change the oil is that true. I've had the mower for 14 years.
@JohnsonsSmallEngines11 ай бұрын
I do not have a video and unless there is a drain plug somewhere located at the bottom of each transmission? They are considered non serviceable unless you remove and drain or sometimes you can withdraw the fluid from the vent. The problem with that is you need to know how much oil comes out so you know how much oil to put back. I do not drain and refill any hydro transmissions unless there is a drain. I can say there are not many on most of the machines I work on. As long as you’re not leaking fluid. These transmissions hold up very well unless abused by the owner (towing, hills, etc)

Thank you for the video. One question not relating to your issue. I took my toro from hibernation a week ago from the storage. It started up right away. I took it out, let it runs to warm it up while I took two others zero turn out. After I took the others two out, I went to check on the first one. It death. I tried to start but there was no clanking…it went silent. One thing I noticed was that THE MANUAL PARKING BRAKE WAS HARD TO ENGAGE. Any suggestions on what my be the issue? I am Minnesota and we got long cold winter however it started right up so the battery was good. Hopefully you or anyone can help pinpoint the issue.
