Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower kzbin.infoUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

Honestly this no oil change system is pretty okay for those who don’t bother with maintenance on these things. But when it comes to me, I change the oil every season no matter what the manufacturer says. The way this system works is it keeps the oil from deteriorating. Oil deteriorates faster when it gets hot, so they made the engines run cooler. To do that they use a lot more plastic in the engine, they now use a new overhead valve system instead of the old flathead design, and they are using an improved cooling fan design. However oil will still deteriorate at some point and it also ages, that is why I’d still do oil changes on this engine
@DavesShop2 жыл бұрын
Hello BCSERK, I agree I like to change the oil on my mowers too. I am using this mower to test how it will perform over time without changing the oil. There are many people that don't want to change oil or have the know-how to change the oil so they just run a mower until it quits. This engine is also backed by a 3-year warranty from Briggs and Stratton. So far I haven't had any issues or even needed to add oil after 50 hours of use. I will continue to update yearly with my findings on how the mower is doing. @DavesShop4 жыл бұрын
Hey Rolando I used this mower this year for the same thing. First I raised the mower height all the way up. Then mulched the leaves by running the mower over them. Then put the bagger on and ran the mower over them again. By mulching them first you don't have to stop and empty the bag as often. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and comment.

I do wonder about never changing the oil because, doesn't it need clean oil now and then? Is topping it off when needed enough to keep the oil clean forever and ever?
@DavesShop Жыл бұрын
Hi Patricia, This is a controversial issue. This mower has a 3-year warranty from Briggs and Stratton so I didn't change the oil on it for 3 years as a test. In the 3 years, I never even needed to add any oil and it was still semi-clear so not black and dirty. I have since changed the oil and air filter just because that's what I have always done on my mowers. If you decide to not change the oil make sure you change the air filter once per year this makes a real difference in how the oil looks and performs by keeping dirt out of the engine. Also if you just use the mower for personal use that also has an effect on how long the oil will last. Hey, thanks for making this video. Just bought one of these and got a bit nervous when I didn’t see a side discharge as we don’t ever use the bag. Will using this mower to mow the perimeter of a larger yard shorten the life of the mower in any way? I think I heard you say in the video that this mower is good for smaller yards. When you register your mower using the Qwerty code, there is a question that asks if you want the side discharge. If you select yes, they will send it to you at the address you provide and it's no charge. If you didn't see it, I recommend you call the manufacturer. It stated the discharge isn't on the mower for environmental reasons.

I bought one of these the other day. Blade was bent out the box , bagging system has a flaw on all mowers this model it throws grass and dust all over the operator. Drive system is weak at best. And as far as not changing the oil is a very bad idea because it has a aluminum sleeve and all the little pieces of break in metal just keeps scratching the cylinder. Use a hand oil change pump it takes 5 minutes to change the oil you pump it out the dipstick tube.

Something seems very wrong here. The grass I am mowing is 5 inches or so. Only cutting at 3.5 inches so I aint cutting jungle grass here. I've tried other heights as well including the front wheels being slightly lower and even slightly higher than the back or front wheels and vice versa. Cutting with the bag or without the bag does not make a difference. Any tips would be helpful. Afraid I may have to return this if there is no quick fix. I am able to purchase unleaded fuel without ethanol at walmart not all walmarts carry it. You can also use unleaded fuel with ethanol as long as you add a fuel stabilizer I done that for years with no issues. That said you don't use that much fuel anyway so if you want to spend the extra money for Premium gas I would. I think it's more important to make sure you store the mower without any fuel in the tank and protected from the elements. I just got this mower, actually, I have the 22inch. Finally got the handle on and oil and gas in it and.....pulled and pulled until my arm wore out. I'm in northern Mich and my husband, who assured me this mower would start on the 1st pull, is in Atlanta Ga. He said check something about the spark plug. Now wear am I supposed to find that and why won't it start???
