I don’t know why but I really enjoyed watching someone else do this job for a change. Great video!

Just got mine done after watching this! I have a 20383 so I didn't have to pull the wheels and all the back guards with the design change. Also no grommet, just a bracket. Great, and well produced how-to video! Thanks!

Excellent video and it's my model lawnmower. A comment on Toro, not your video: given how easily these cables snap, I'll go out on a limb and say Toro makes it difficult to replace the cable so that consumers who aren't handy will simply buy another lawnmower. On almost all lawnmowers, this part is external and very easy to replace, not hidden under needless plastic housing and needing to remove so many parts to get at it. Again, thanks for the excellent video. Very helpful.

Thanks for the view! Yeah I agree. It’s definitely not an easy fix. I do t think they could make it easier given the blade control and rear wheel drive. After doing a bunch, it does get easier. But not my fav thing to do. Haha

Hey man how did you get the carriage bolt part back together lol without the bolt sliding up and/or spinning
@SHONEY21Z7 ай бұрын
With a little magic. The carriage bolt needs to be totally seated. And carefully place the cable holder onto the bolt to not push the bolt south of the hole. Once I get the holder far enough over the bolt I’ll grab the tip of the bolt with a needle nose and pull towards me while pushing yhe cable holder on. Even if the carriage bolt unseats, then I’ll just twist it until it seats again and then apply pressure to the cable holder as I install the nut. I know that sounds like a lot, but I haven’t found a better way other than taking more stuff apart.

I thought it was a cable operated belt tensioner not a clutch
@SHONEY21Z8 ай бұрын
You’re right. It is. It also has a brake on it to stop the blade when you release the lever. It’s not a clutch in the traditional sense, Honda has more of a blade clutch but it operates like a clutch would. Cheers
