Great example of “keep the sunny side up and the dirty side down” nice vid Tom 👍

I just did both cables on my personal pace not long ago. I played and played with the tension on the brake cable and found there is just a bit of flex on that plastic piece no matter what I did. Just had to find a happy medium where it didn't flex too much and had enough tension to work. Figured I either need to sell it off before it breaks next time, or at least I know how to do it when it breaks again.

You need to order a new set for back up now before the price goes up again or hard to get 😊

That plastic cable end breaking reminded me of when the plastic ends on the cables that open the rear door, and the glass, on my Ford Expedition broke. When the end breaks off, there is no way to open the rear hatch. You have to remove the inside of the door to get to the door locking mechanism. Unfortunately, 2 big plastic fasteners are recessed at the bottom. I had to chop them up with a giant screwdriver to get them out, so as to get the plastic door cover out of the way and access the locking mechanism. The funny thing is that the cables themselves are extremely well made, except for the plastic ends. I bought new aluminum ends, which will last until the SUV is recycled. They lasted 18 years, so I can't complain too much. Heat inside the door eventually trashed the plastic and it snapped off the cable.

If I have time I pressure wash them first, and work on them when I get the parts 😊

I think I have the same mower but it’s auto choke. Got to grind the valves some to get compression back when it’s hot. Gr8 vid. There not many out there on a toro with blade clutch

In Kentucky we called them rolly pollys. Now I live in eastern Virginia we call them roll up bugs.

Toooom Doooobyyyy!! Hey, Tom! Just wondering. Was that plastic netting on the original cable spring, used to keep debris out of the coils of the spring? Thanks for another great video! Hope you have an AWESOMELY PROSPEROUS day! God bless.

G_day Tom, Where can I get that magnet light you use? Also tried to get that tool bs small engines makes on his 3d printer but emails keep bouncing back. I was trying to find out if he ships them down here to Australia? Thx Rod
