Thanks for the video. It was a big help. I have done it without removing the deck but this is much easier. Live and learn. I have had this mower for probably 12 years with little maintenance. So I don't think its a piece of junk but probably not great either. It was pretty much a budget mower at Home Depot. No complaints with mine. Thanks again for the video. Saved me time and wear and tear on my knuckles.

Great example on how not to do it. Pull the whole deck out put the belt on and put on the motor pulley last.

Great video...my only question is....since you disconnected the deck...why not clean the debris up and check/ sharpen the blades and lube the spindles and pullies and check all the pullies for wear and tear...etc...the condition of that deck guarantees....quick future problems

Because then you are likely to find another problem to fix where this way you are none the wiser.

How exactly did you remove the nut from the pulley on the extreme left (if you are sitting on the mower); the one on the side of the mower where the gear is located [F, N, R]? That was not shown on the video?

For the last 5 hours I've been trying to remove my attach-a-matic deck from my toro. It seems like it's welded on. Won't budge. Unable to find a diagram or instructions. Makes zero sense.

Are decks from other brands compatable like a John Deere or an mtd would it fit here?

It's a lot easier to thread the deck pulleys before you put around the drive belt.

So many other brand of Lawn Tractor have just a few pins and boom belt ...this is a nightmare tools dirt removing pulleys and other BS not happy... better be worth it.

I have the same mower complete junk. deck always leans to one side scalping the grass. it smokes like Hugh Hefner. I'll get a Honda next time

Same. Mine smokes on start up until it's warm, goes through belts like a fat chick, and just is all around pretty slow compared to some of the mowers I've been on.

@@crcmoto3751 valve cover gasket...big deal, level up the deck. You will have different probs just the same with the husq.
