I just did the same job today. Was on sale for around $13 but had to trim a lot of the case. I finally got out the rubber mallet and influenced it. Good to go.

looking to purchase Toro machine and found this very helpful. I think the design team at Toro must have been in the pub when they installed the loom and omitted the clock

I know what that feels like....ouch! I have PF and other foot ailments quite often. Get better soon! 🏥 I fractured my ankle playing basketball when I was about 16 and that was NOT FUN. Crutches for 6 weeks. 😮‍💨 Good work installing the hour meter! I know all about "cutting to fit" projects. But, sometimes sacrifices must be made. Thanks for sharing, Chad and Jennifer! 😎🔧

Ice each night and stretches morning and night have been helping the plantar fasciitis. But it was unwise to participate in the whiffle ball game. It’s hard to keep from moving around. I’m glad the hour meter finally fit in. I believe the Toro part was about $50 more. Thanks for watching! I always enjoy the videos that Jennifer helps with the most. :)

Considering how much money you paid for that beautiful Toro TIMECUTTER, one would think that the company would install an hour meter. I am sure they would buy them by the crate and get them for just pennies. Thanks for another great video.

I thought so too. But I imagine that they have a certain price point they need to be at to remain competitive. I liked that they made it so easy - with the sheet metal cutout and the plug already included. It’s an easy process.

You have to use a file to shave it down just a little to get it to fit down in there. Its a tight fit.

I keep hoping that projects will go faster as I get older. That doesn’t seem to be the case. At least it was quality time with Jennifer. :)

It seems a little crazy that on a mower like that, Toro didn't just go ahead and make the hour meter standard stuff.

I agree Chris - but I’m sure that there is a certain price point they need to be at to be competitive. Maybe the hour meter puts it over the limit. :)

Wow your mower looks so much faster than mine. I just picked up a 2024 50" and had the dealer put in the hour meter, and it counts up the wrong digit. So for an hour of mowing it now reads 0.1 hours. Did they just use the wrong meter? Also would love a video on adjusting the hydro's. Mine was pulling HARD left so I had to turn the right handle screw in about 5 turns to even it out, now its as slow as my old riding mower. Cuts nice but the manual said there was now way to speed the left drive up, you were supposed to slow the other down. Thoughts?

Thanks for the kind words. Ice each night and stretches each day have been helping with the sore foot. I just need to learn to stay off of it for longer. It’s hard not to play games. My favorite videos are the ones where Jennifer helps me with a project! :)

It’s hard when our spouses reveal our dirty little secrets in public. Don’t be ashamed about leaving on the plastic covers! Your asking her to mow for 6 minutes reminds me of Tom Sawyer getting all his friends to paint because it’s so fun… Why in the world would Toro not include this! It’s amazing how fast the hours add up…I have 48.8 hours on ours in 2 months.

We installed it to face the rider when sitting on the seat. The only debate was which way the connection gets made on the bottom. But the way we did it works properly.

Thanks for the tip! I’ve been doing these stretches regularly since seeing the video you shared. It is helping some. It’s crazy the amount of conflicting info out there. I read one piece that said “never massage a foot suffering from PF”. Then the next article recommends massage/stretching in the morning and night. :)
