It's now 2021. I hope you can do an update video on the 2021 Titan and tell us what upgrades or differences they've made between the outgoing model to the incoming. I haven't purchased a zero turn yet and am waiting to see if the 2021 range exceeds that of the 2020 range. I am leaning towards the Titan as it's the entry level Commercial grade. It's supposed to have the better transmission and stronger spindles etc. Not to mention the bullnose fab deck.

Brilliant video as always. Obviously the 60inch mower is a large unit, but will it run as well as a 54 inch, as it has the same size engine and horsepower. It take more energy to work a bigger deck so can it do what a 54 inch deck mower can do.

I want to buy either a Titan or zmaster 2000. I have about 2.5 acres of flat yard, except a 3:1 sloped ditch. Would the upgraded 3400 Hydrogears help or is it overkill? MY JD x320 works great but want a ZT to jut my mowing time down from 2hrs

Hi Dave, wheel motors are Hydro Gear brand ZT-3100. The deck is not a Turbo Force. But It is a high strength 10 gauge steel and very properly reinforced. Andrew Camarata bought one of these and found the hp to be a bit on the low side, original model blades were weak and the mower would not cut tall grass in one pass due to the deck not being designed for best flow of grass. no baffle adjustment on the front of the deck like Scag has; so, no way to tune in the uncut grass before the blades cut. Ever go to Walmart and see the bikes they sell? Camarata talked about cutting the front of the deck off so he could mow tall grass. Well, that is extreme.

Canister filter, drop pin deck height, different tires, wider front, better stomp pad, rubber discharge chute...... and several hundred dollars less. Similar for sure, but more value at a reduced cost.

I was interested in the TORO Titan and talked with a dealer here in San Antonio Tx. He said that with the My Ride suspension customers where complaining of the ride is like a " cork bobbing on the ocean" and some were getting " sea sick". Wondered what your thoughts were.

Ned, that's very interesting. We are big fans of the MyRide suspension and truly believe it to be a class apart when compared to other suspension seats from different brands. We feel that you don't ride the MyRide seat but float on it. Maybe, thats the reason some people are feeling 'sea sick'.

How does is compare to a Gravely ZT HD? Trying to decide between the two. Both dealers seem awesome, Gravely is about 30 min closer. Appreciate it

Sara, you're lucky you have a good dealer for both the brands. It's always our suggestion to go for the best dealer, and not only the brand. I do not think the Gravely is as good as the Toro and would choose a Toro. With that being said, Main Street Mower was a gravely dealer for over 20 years and has a lot of experience with them. It was a popular brand in our community and a good brand to be a dealer of, at the time. We finally did stop selling them in the past year simply because we didn't believe they were as good as the Toro equivalent.

Some websites advertise the Titan as having the smart speed control and some don't No mention here about it, so what's the Go with that ?? Is it supposed to have it or not ? Is there a variation, say on a 54" Titan etc etc ??

I’m really considering buying 1 of these or a Scag Patriot mainly due to rough areas on my land. Toro seems to have an advantage with the myride system My biggest concern is quality. I don’t want to invest 7k In mower, if the bolts start falling off, engine croaks and the stickers peel off in 3 years. I’m just hoping Toro does right by folks who are looking for some longevity.

The Titan and Patriot are both great mowers. We would recommend going with whichever one has a better dealer in your area. MyRide is definitely a huge factor for us that sets the Titan apart. Thanks for the review bought one in large part based on your review. However, a month in I have an hour meter problem. I bought the Titan 54" to cut 3-4 acres (takes 1:50 minutes), love it but then the battery went dead, I thought no big deal. I went to TT and they were kind enough to give me a new one but then I realized the hour meter went from what should be 14.5 hour read (Check it each time I finish) to 74 hours? Has any one else experienced this - how is this even possible? I just did the 9 hour old change.

It is possible that the key was left in the on position, this would allow the hour meter to keep ticking and would also explain the dead battery.

🤔 We have observed them tick with the engine off. I wouldn’t worry about it to much, you could tell your dealer and they might be willing to help replace/warranty? Or you could buy one and replace yourself if it came to that. They just plug right in and start at 0. Or just roll with it, you should stay under the 300 hrs (1hr 50 mins per mow x 35 mows per year = 64.16 hrs per year x 3 years = 192 hrs + (60 accidental hours) = 252 hrs)

Im thinking about buying a Titan (actually its the Titan Max) I'm just worried about the engine. Are those Torro engines new to the industry? Can you get them with a Kawasaki engine? What are your thoughts?

Toro's website list both the Titan and the TimeCutter as having a 3 year 300 hour commercial warranty and a 3 year unlimited residential warranty. Both have the same 10 gauge frame and 10 gauge deck. The only real differences between the two is the Titan has extra hydro pumps for the transmissions. That's about it. The TimeCutter has replaceable cast aluminum front wheel axle arms. The Titan does not. So if you run the Titan into something and bend the front steel axle or bend the frame then the mower is pretty much totaled out. If you actually look into the differences between the TimeCutter and the Titan you will see many differences. Titan has a rubber chute, gas gage, hour meter, nice options to have. Compare the mower deck anti-scalping wheel mounts, big difference. Along with the Titan hydro pumps mentioned. Another Titan reviewer states a beefier frame is on the Titan, I can't validate true or not. But the more I study the Cutter vs the Titan the more differences I find. Is the Titan worth $1400 more? I'm thinking so, I plan to buy the Titan.

Toro makes some great mowers, no question about it, but when it's presented to you by a Toro representative in a vacuum, they seem even better. Try to watch a side by side comparison of Toro commercial z turn vs the Wright for example.. Oh boy, Toro fails miserably. A bit more perspective from a non biased user would be appreciated. To be fair this guy always says he's a Toro guy through and through, after all Toro pays most of his bread..

Hi Paul, you're right in implying that this machine is heavy duty! However, its true intent is for homeowners with 3 to about 20 acres of property. TORO knows that landscapers would use it as well, so they gave it a 3 year, 300 hour commercial warranty. For Homeowners, on the other hand, there's no hour limit on the warranty.
