I purchased a Toro Titan 60" w/MyRide in June of 2020 to replace a 15 yr old 60" zero turn Cub Cadet. Three things the Cub Cadet had that the Titan doesn't have are a tachometer "helpful for engine break in procedure", a fluid reservoir for the drive units "if fluid is leaking you will see it before drive units are damaged", and solid high lift blades "the high lift blades on the Titan have a large section cut out of them making them bend easier". In 15 + yrs of hard use the Cub Cadet never got a bent blade. I have come to like the ride of the Titan very much. I hope the whole mower holds up as good as the Cub Cadet it replaced.

I like buying at TSC cause if you have to return something,,, big or small there are no questions asked... They do carry the full warranties on all their items... I question with a high dollar unit like the Toros I'd be better off buying from a Toro Dealership...

Just to add my two cents in the comments section I have owned a Toro z4200 TimeCutter zero-turn mower for several years. The way it is built is extremely simple and makes it easy to maintain. The single-cylinder 19-horse engine is just enough to get the job done and has excellent fuel economy. The older models did not have very good seats, so that is one of the down points. Also the seat does not go forward far enough for my feet to touch the footrest and I am of average height at 5'-9". The blade size and hole size do not yield very many options for blades. 3/16 (.180) is about all you can find for it. You cannot get 1/4" thick steel blades for it. However even with inexpensive high lift blades the discharge pressure of this mower is amazing. It will throw grass at least 20' with the chute open. With the blades properly maintained it has an excellent cut. I managed to get my machine with only 1 year of light use on it...like new. For the price I would say that the Toro TimeCutter is a good value.

I'm used to running Commercial Scags, Toros, Hustlers, and Exmarks. Except for the Hustler the rest had dedicated brake levers and have had them ever since I started mowing. I like the integrated system on the Hustler. Most other mowers I have seen have the dedicated brake lever. If I'm not mistaken Hustler has a patent for the integrated brake system which would make sense as to why not many other brands have the integrated system. They also all use a pin for deck height adjustment.

Not one of these reviewers ever discuss the deck pulley system durability. It may just be the week link that separates a good mower from a great mower that is "affordable". They mention deck gauge alot. I have a Craftsman DYT 4000 that is 10 gauge and its definitely heavy duty so buying a zero with anything else is a gamble in my opinion. However, back to my observation, there exists NO issues that any of these testers have come across that boils down to the deck pulley system wearing out prematurely?

considering you are speaking of this mower: If you only use it to cut the one commercial property and not use it constantly daily you should be fine. There are many variables, but if spending $14,000 for a mower is over your budget then these mowers are a good choice. In the long run it may be more economical to buy one of these over a commercial heavy duty mower. Maintaining the mower more often, like changing the oil will be key.

I'd like to see them go to joystick controls like a skid steer with some nice armrests rather than the lever bars. They could incorporate all the controls right into the joysticks from engine starting, blade engagement, parking brake, lights, or whatever else they can think of. Keys are a thing of the past. Who needs em. Also for what yhe machines cost get rid of the carbs and just make em EFI. a lot less problems and they run better.

I always found it interesting that on a lot of commercial ZTRs that they use a simple pin to set the deck height. Whereas on a lot of residential machines they feel the need in some cases to use very expensive electro-mechanical linear actuators with expensive computer controlled sensors. One of the JD tractors comes to mind that uses a $2000 linear actuator and a complex array of sensors with a digital readout of cut height on the dash. Why? Those simple steel pins are never going to fail and who changes their cut height that often anyway. :-)

I bought a 2020 titan with a 48 in deck. I have 2 questions that I would appreciate a logical answer from a Toro expert.. question 1. Why does a toro want to start the engine at full throttle,? 2 Why shut the engine down at full throttle? 3 why engage the blades at full throttle? I have never operated any piece of equipment this way. It goes against logic. You don’t operate any other piece of equipment this. Way. That I know of except a cheep push mower. If you operated your car/truck nothing would last very long.i have never owned a 0 turn mower but I have Chain saws, Blowers, string trimmers, small garden tractors.with small 2 cylinder engines and blades with electric clutches. Most engines need to warm up to get full lubrication. Looks like there will be a lot of extra wear on the engine, electric clutch and belt. As for shutting down the engine at full throttle I would think it better to let the engine idle a few min to cool down.

The timecutter series doesn't have a 60" deck with MyRide and I want the MyRide so that forces me to look at the 54 timecutter. I mow 1.5 acres every 1.5 weeks during the mowing season so not a crazy amount or mowing. I hope your not offended by what I'm about to say. But they point out all the good but never mention the bad. They don't tell you the Toro brand engine is made by Loncin a Chinese company , I bought a 60 inch cut Z Master My Ride and it has backfired from the day I bought it . 20 hours later I take it back to the dealer , They told me it has a 3 year warranty on the engine. I told them to fix the back fire , The battery I have had to charge up 3 times in One month, and change oil . they said ok and we will sharpen the blades. I got it back the invoice said nothing about warranty or back firing or bad battery, change oil and sharpen the blades, and note I did not ask for blades. they charged me 26 dollars for sharpening the blades and then the oil change that I did ask for. But they did nothing for back fire and bad battery. I knew I had 3 years so I took it back again but before I called a Toro rep and told him the story. and the dealer called me 15 min later said they are coming to get it and they are charging me 80 dollars to pick it up. The Toro rep told me the back fire was from the fuel shut off valve , And the dealer told me it was the fuel pump, I said I thought it was the fuel shut off valve and the dealer told me my mower don't even have a fuel shut off valve , but I know it does. and he said as far as the battery it was only warranted for one year. So if you want a big headache go by a Toro with a Chinese made engine.

If you hit something at 7.5 mph. Better hang it up and hire a service

That aluminum caster wheel is horrible idea, if you hit something hard enough to bend that, it would toss you off the machine. The last thing you would be worried about is the deck. It just makes it easier to break off while trying to get work done

The time cutter has 2200 not 2800. You should read the spec before making this video. Good information otherwise

The Australian version of the Toro Timecutter is piss weak.

It seems like Toro is starting to replace every engine in their line up with the Chinese knock off "toro". The only Titans and Timecutters you can get with the Kawasaki are the California ones. And for some reason, the Kawasaki drives up the price significantly.

I agree that Toro is pushing the in house motor.

Tethering it with a small cable would prevent that.

If you're spending that much money on a zero turn YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DRIVE THE DARN THING!!!!

In case any manufacturer is listening: I want a zero turn mower with a gas pedal and a STEERING WHEEL! Yes, I know they are more expensive to manufacture. I don't care. I am wiling to pay for it. I hate those goofy bars that require both hands for operation. When I drive a mower, I want to drive it like a car. Not a piece of exercise equipment. I want one hand on the wheel and the other hand free to move branches away from my face, move debris from the lawn without stopping and getting off, drink a beverage, wave to a neighbor, or whatever. A steering wheel also makes it much easier to shift my body weight while cutting ditches and hills. I know that I am not the only one who wants this. Just Google: "Zero turn mower w" and the auto complete will show "zero turn mower with steering wheel" It's 2020 and I can't believe most major manufacturers still don't offer one of these.
