Oct 2018 bought the 1500 series 74452 Titan HD , 60" deck with the Toro engine, the seat does tilt forward, and per book 3grease points, caster axles and pump idler pivot. the roll bar only has 2 positions..up Or all down.. very solid heavy unit, the seat is comfortable but could use a bit more suspension. I've also added the brackets to carry a bucket (pickup trash when mowing along front acreage) and string trimmer as i also mow another area 1000' feet away from main yard. Blades from Exmark also fit

Think I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these today. Seems like a lot of money for a unit that is not really a commercial-grade mower, but I like how it has the HydroGear 3100 trannies, and it'll do 9MPH...and it's one of the few carbureted models ya can still get (Do NOT get fuel-injected mowers! Too much to go wrong and can't fix 'em yourself unless you buy expensive diagnostic equipment [not the same as your automotive scanner] and all of those sensors and computer modules are as expensive as hell. EFI + dirt + moisture = problems shortly after the warranty is over...).

My local mower shop has one of these for sale and I was curious about the weight because I wanted to be sure my trailer could handle the weight, and at an estimated 867 lbs, my trailer won't even struggle. I see that this video is about 2 years old, right now. Do you still have the Titan Max 60 and do you still like it?

Just did my first mowing with this amazing machine I had scags before but this is way better. Just one thing as I was mowing I felt my left control arm getting harder to move is that normal? Do I need to adjust anything? Thanks

I would check the oil level in the hydros. It should not get harder. See if anything is getting in the way of the movement. If it keeps happening, take her in under warranty and try to figure it out and get it fixed while in warranty.

HydroGear 3100's are good. They are the HydroGear 2800 models you find in low to mid grade models with a better quality gear internally. The 3100's are found on high end residential and low end commercial. I would not be afraid of them. My only beef with the 2800 and 3100 is that they do not let the tires creep on turns. They like to lock up the wheel easily rather than let it roll slightly causing you to rip up grass easier than more higher end models would.

Awesome machine ! What kind of hydraulic oil does it use ? Just got mine also should I use the choke everytime I want to turn it on ? Thanks

Get your hydro oil from the dealer. You do not need to, but the additives in the Toro Hydro oil are good for mowers. Or I use John Deere Turf Guard sometimes. These like a choke every cold start. Not once it is warm.

Have you had any experience with the ariens apex. I was sold on the apex until seeing the max but I’m not sure it’s worth the extra $1000 for the max. The tires and maybe the seat is the only difference I can obviously tell. Any thought?

Man I bought a brand new Toro mower with a B&S engine in '18 based off their good reputation among workers, used it all of one time & it never started again. Went through hell to get it returned & refunded. Now pretty iffy on Toro as a brand TBH.

Will you help an old veteran? Bought Titan Model # 75302 406712152 last year. From day one, when I started it, it missed a little then ran OK. It died. It will start back up & run for 4 second then run so badly you know it will dye. When I operate the coke, it makes no difference. It smokes white/blue fumes as if it is getting to much gas. What should I check 1st ? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I just bought the Titan Max havoc edition and it is a piece of crap loose bolts and screws everywhere. My drive belt on the deck has come off 11 times in four hours. It has a bent, idler pulley. Toro is no help at all insist that if I want a corporate contact, I have to write a letter they refuse to give me corporate contact information other than a customer service line that I spent an hour and 12 minutes and still never got anyone to talk to $8000 into a four hour usage mower. I will never buy another Toro product. This is my livelihood and they could give a crap.

I am going to assume you purchased this at Home Depot? If so, that sucks because they have ZERO service departments. I would always recommend a Toro or John Deere Dealer over THD due to service. With that said. Return it. you have 30 to 90 days. If you want to keep it, go out and find a Toro dealer and they will service it and get you back up and running.
