Hi Johnny is is great to be on this snow walk with you, I missed the live as I just seeing this, last year I was there when they had the "nightmare before Christmas" with my son driving me on East Eglington near Kennedy and all over but I had many snow walks by myself until March, brings back fond memories, thanks. wanted to be there now from Guyana, maybe later I will.

Thanks for another great snowstorm livestream along Eglinton West and along Dufferin St Johnny! Can’t believe that almost lots of the articulated buses were stuck along Dufferin. I’ve seen a few buses that got stuck in the snow around my area last year in a winter blizzard too. But this has been a fun night stream! It was also nice to see my awesome friend Liam joining you almost throughout the entire stream too! Hope everyone has a great weekend and stay warm!

I used to drive for the TTC before I retired trust me all the buses get stuck not just the bendy buses no snow tires are put on them I used to get stuck all the time on Lawerence East going eastbound at Carnforth Rd. up the hill towards Victoria Park Ave. the hill on Don Mills at Graydon Hall is wicked as well. Hey now I have a RAM truck and don't drive like a fool that hurt Johnny (JK) 😜😜 The hills on Ave Rd and Dufferin St are bad well for the buses to get up.

Dufferin is brutal for us TTC operators in a snowfall this is normal like I said no snow tires on the buses TTC won't do it can you imagine having to change all those tires twice a year and really for the number of big storms Toronto gets its way too expensive in tires and labour. What they do or used to do was you call in your stuck to Transit Control then send out a supervisor and they call the salters and sanders to get you some traction to get up the hill. I hated the bendy buses in the snow the back end likes to step out on you and they like to slide around as well.
@busfanforever10 ай бұрын
Mount Dennis never should’ve dispatched the artics out on Dufferin, ten years these Novas have been in service and they still don’t hold up well in the snow. They could’ve dispatched 40-foot buses all together. Transee showed that every single bus on the route was articulated and bunched up between Eglinton and St Clair

@@christinecamleyDon’t get me wrong, Montreal is beautiful. It’s just the governance is terrible and the people there are pretty rude and believe in separatism. Also NJB did explain that the city does not know how to be a proper urban designer failing to meet all terms and expectations. I certainly wouldn’t drive my car there, it is just not suitable.
@christinecamley10 ай бұрын
@@Billymays618 I honestly don't have some big experience of particularly rude people in Montreal or the smaller parts of Quebec like Huntington, where family lives, which borders NY. Or Quebec City or any part as I know the province very well. But think about it, there's some rude people everywhere. Vancouver, Saskatoon, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, it doesn't matter where you are, you will eventually encounter someone who might be rude! I honestly think if we meet people with an open mind, friendliness, politeness, more often than not we have a good experience with someone. It's not at all true that all people in Quebec want to separate. If a vote happened today I believe most Quebecers would want to stay within Canada. I have family in Quebec and it's a non issue. I am aware of the political history of Quebec and sure there is a separatist movement and they are represented in Parliament in Ottawa. That has no bearing on a visit to Montreal for me and how much I enjoy it when I am there! There are design issues in every city. I don't mind different things that might be an annoyance to someone else but we are all entitled to our opinions and I understand you have a bias against Quebec and don't sound impressed. Okay! On the other hand I don't! I have a great time, I greet people happily and I receive that kindness back. If you go with a preconceived notion about people they might pick up on that and feel a negative vibe. Go with an open mind! Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it.

Mount Dennis garage never should’ve had Dufferin with entirely artics last night. Ten years since these Novas have been in service and they still don’t fair well in the snow. You walked past EVERY SINGLE bus on the route that was bunched up, according to Transee. Even as Mount Dennis and McNicoll garages get new hybrid articulated buses from New Flyer, things can not get any worse when we have to drive them in the snow.
