Toronto Shore Fishing - Carp (June 18. 2015)

If you love fishing carp, Toronto is an underrated place to target this underrated fish.
Carp fights harder than bass and even pike.
Carp is harder to catch than bass and pike.
I've had a carp spool my whole reel (the day after I respooled with brand new powerpro 20lbs line!!!). No bass or pike can do that!

Hi Michael, I live in Toronto. I tried fishing once when I was a kid, but never caught anything and kind of gave up. Right now, I am on ODSP, and thought that fishing might be a good way to save money on groceries. What exactly would I need to get started? I guess I would need a license and a rod, but anything else? I don't know how to fish, and was thinking of taking classes, but there is no one I know in Toronto who offers it. Would you be interested in teaching me? If so, let me know what you think would be a reasonable price.

Great catch man! Theres a spot down in milton which holds the same sized carp and also holds trout and some nice cats you should come and give it a try sometime?!
