The thing about demotivation is absolutely correct. Jee dropper here. The entire teaching team left after completing half the syllabus. I was sure I would get IIT in that point of time. As soon as they left. Everything came crumbling down. I felt demotivated for the next 6 months straight cos of all the uncertainities and lack of plan and the drastic fail of plan. After results I have nothing. I might get a state college. I would add another point- make a failsafe plan. If something goes extreme south like in my case. You should have a failsafe plan so that you won’t be directionless and in a shock state.
