What is the meaning of 'key to the memory palace' ? I remember you said in your book that without the key its useless. Is it some sort of beginning cue to remember which place has been allocated to which memory ?
@ashishtorq8 ай бұрын
Thanks for taking time to read my work! Yes, it’s kind of the beginning of the story. If you remember that, rest follows. If you don’t, it’s impossible to remember the rest. This is because everything is sequential in memory palace technique. One of the limitations of the Loci method. Think of it like this, say you remember all the turns to get to a destination starting from your home, but you don’t know the first turn. Will you ever reach your destination? Memory palace works similarly as we generally use physical locations to save memory. I couldn’t explain method in detail in The Boy Who Did Not Sign because of limitation of words that an author often deals with, but Memory palace was an important part. So I’m glad you paid attention towards it. That’s majorly how I was able to manage my training in nuclear program along with ISRO entrance exam preparation.

Summary for self: • Key is to connect core memory to working memory. • we're wired to remember physical navigation and STORIES. • so we need to connect things to physical things and stories things that stays in core memory. Note: keep stories or things more bizzare

Even you know after watching the video i started to practice and dude, i was imaging maps, dam location, types of soil, tehri n navadanya beech bachao andoln, JFM, Forest act 1972..... (long list). Im on ch 4 and i tried to memorise those random words and it fucking worked like: Flappy bird game there were '12' 'teribble' birds, i closed the 'app' and read a 'para' tht i got a phone from mr 'name'. I called him and he started 'speeching' me. I closed the app and realized i was in a 'grocery' store, i saw a poor 'work'er working beyond his 'limits' as he was handling 'rough' job of carrying 'caesum' But i realized it was the time of my 'semester' exams! Thanks a lot bro, you are a true legend. Keep on the good work up!
