Torqeedo 1103 DIY Hand Controlled Steering - Hobie Pro Angler 14 (2018)

This setup can be built for between $50-$80 depending on existing H-rail hardware and if you have a Harken (or similar) pulley on hand.
Steer lines purchased by the foot from innovative sportsman. 1103 standard installation required separately (up/down pull line). Will also need a small supply of stainless carabiners for quick releasing from the motor. I also routed the steer lines away from the cargo area using a stainless steel pad eye.
I’ll be replacing the wooden drum and white handle with black marine-grade HDPE that I’ve ordered online separately.
