Hi Doug, any update on tunes for the 23 Integra? Would love to see a new tune meant for an upgraded clutch. Thanks!

How do we get this tune? Is this on E85?
@KazX37 Жыл бұрын
How much of a trade off for reliability is a moderate tune? Would think Honda significantly undertuned the stock motor. What about FBO and a tune?
@ValkenDnB Жыл бұрын
A moderate tune is fine even fbo and tune. The problem is too much torque and making too much torque too early from what I’ve seen.
@KazX37 Жыл бұрын
@@ValkenDnB any recommended tunes? Appreciate the information
@ValkenDnB Жыл бұрын
@@KazX37 I’ve used hondata basemaps before and ktuner base maps, phearable and tsp tunes before. I personally liked tsp stage 1 since it has 3 different maps with different power levels. I personally kept it on map 2 since it wasn’t too much torque not too little. You can always do any of the lower power basemaps on either hondata or ktuner as they add around 30hp/tq or so. I’ve had good experiences with both.

@@ValkenDnB I was thinking of ktuner with tsp S1. Guess I just need to try it out when my warranty is out

@@KazX37 yeah on my 2019 si I had ktuner tsp stage 1+, planning on the same for my 2022 si.

Do they have any aftermarket rods or pistons for the 11th gen Si?
@TheFK8Life Жыл бұрын
The 1.5 unfortunately isn't built to withstand too much. Si guys should do a 2.0t swap from the Accord and turn that up Much better results and reliability
@DAddy-iy9mu Жыл бұрын
That's like around 10k to even do. And don't get me started on the labor. Might as well get a type R at this point.
@TheFK8Life Жыл бұрын
@DAddy-iy9mu agreed, but most of these guys are on a budget, and a Type R is a bit out of reach for many. My Type R is making 566/440 on a stock engine- very beefy. Should crest 600 next week with ported head - hoping for 620-630whp
@DAddy-iy9mu Жыл бұрын
@@TheFK8Life I don't think it's possible to do a swap for just like 5k usd.
@TheFK8Life Жыл бұрын
@DAddy-iy9mu there have been guys who have spent 28k on their Si only to realize they should have just bought a Tyoe R. Built 1.5L, built trans, fuel system etc When you add up the cost of building up the 1.5L to stay together it gets pretty ridiculous for the end results. The 2.0t just has more potential and while not perfect makes more sense than the 1.5L I owned a 2017 Si for 40k miles....thought about my end goals and bought a 21 R - so glad I did. Even beyond the power its the suspension design, brakes, chassis stiffness etc that makes the R a huge value. The FL5 is even better. Budget builds exist and I wish the L15B7 was something you could mod for cheap but direct injection engines just aren't cheap to make power with.....yet. Maybe one day - but that's why the 2.0t swap makes more sense. Making a reliable 550whp+ for a daily is much easier and cost effect with the 2.0 vs 1.5 For basic 2xx whp and 3xx torque the 1.5L can do that but as many have seen above 300whp things start to fall apart rather quickly (wish they didn't) there are solutions but again....not cheap. 5k is a drop in the bucket really.

I’m getting pretty close to 30k miles on a big turbo e30 daily driven and beaten hard. Did arp headstuds and change oil every 2-3k miles. 0 issues so far other than clutch had to be swapped cause it slipped like crazy

Mine is a 2018 FC3 L15b7. With your E85 base map, how much boost PSI will be provided in standard and Sport Mode please ? ? Thank 👍 you!
@dougmacmillan7613 Жыл бұрын
Boost is a low 6 psi. It is developed as a very safe calibration. You have complete tuning access. Talk with your tuner as you can add enough boost and timing to bend and break rods as shown in this video.

Question! Do I need to keep putting E85 or since the flex fuel system is able to put regular gas.... will this tune work without putting E85 all the time?,
@dougmacmillan7613 Жыл бұрын
The Hondata fuel system for the 1.5 Civic Si provides the volume of fuel needed to run E10 (pump) all the way to E85, and if your engine is built to over 400 HP with E85. Mildly built Civics without the Hondata 1.5 fuel system can lose fuel pressure trying to run E85.

@@dougmacmillan7613 ok I see. All I want to know, is if my stock engine will be just fine, with the new and improved flex tune ?

Is there a difference in rod and piston between 10th and 11th gen civic si ? Some say the 1.5T in the 11th gen is weaker... True or false ?
@fk.justus4896 Жыл бұрын
I think there both the same rod and pistons. Is just that honda added a little Vtec in the 11th gen. But the 10th and 11th gen civic has the same engine
