A cheaper push/pull sled option: buy a Yooper Scooper (snow scoop shovel) and put as much weight as you can in it -- plates, sandbags, etc. -- and push/pull it across your lawn. If you get a metal one and you're handy with a welder, try DIY it by adding 2" sleeve for weights or perhaps create your own that's a bigger scoop for more sandbags and weight. If anybody lives in the upper Midwest, then they probably know about the Yooper Scoopers. It makes snow shoveling a lot easier since you're scooping big sections of snow at a time and sliding it off somewhere since sliding all that weight on snow makes it easy for an old woman to shovel her driveway without breaking her back. But it's still a workout. Using it on the grass lawn in the summer will add more friction of course, and with weight included, will make a great sled workout without tearing up your lawn like every sled or prowler does, and will cost significantly cheaper.

Thats cool man... Sounds like you have alot of time on your hands... for people like me that work two jobs to make the extra money will just buy the damn Torque M1 Sled and enjoy its features.

I wonder how it will work to carry it up to an apartment.. does the handles fit carrying it up and down stairs? Its suppose to be wall mountable, so id assume that carrying it around is something designers had in mind? Thanks for video

Alot of cheap skates on here are suggesting to use something else as a sled like a tire or snow shovel or some crap but its not the same 🙄
@moredatesmorefiber35264 ай бұрын

@AnX02564 ай бұрын
@moredatesmorefiber3526 riiiight... cuz those objects also have a built in mechanism with a lever that can toggle between neutral and three other levels of resistance. Oh and those same object also provide noise reduction when dragging right?
@bmj53463 ай бұрын
A tire with a rope does work just fine. Our old crossfit box used tires with a piece of fence in the tire to put plates on. Works great for pulls and drags. You don’t get the push but it does give you great resistance and does the job. The M1 is a great piece of kit but there are things you can do till you can afford it.
@erich97795 күн бұрын
@@AnX0256the point is you're getting the same workout without breaking your wallet. Tell me the difference between the M1 and a tire in which muscle group it targets. Both are same.
@AnX02565 күн бұрын
@@erich9779 Right... nvr said it doesnt work the same muscles... but you cant adjust the intensity like you can with the Tank. Im arguing specific features that cant be accomplished as well with other devices without those features. Soooo stop being a cheap ass and cash out for quality.
@g.berwald53122 жыл бұрын
it does not suck. but you could also use a sandbag or old tire to do that. even more cheaper

The only advantage of the wheeled sleds is that it's relatively quiet. Sometimes that's very valueable though, cuz your neighbors won't complain about u training
@SettleNow11 ай бұрын
I have this and also a tire. The tire is good for pulling but not pushing. Also, as others have noted, this is very quiet. And variable resistance. With this you can push against very heavy resistance. If you try to run pulling the tire on pavement it will bounce.

I was reading reviwes on rogue about the tank 3 wheeler. Customer said wheel in front got messed up because she was not adding weight. Torque Fitness told rogue that she needs to add 133lbs of weigjt so she won't have thoese probles.. I was going to get one for the reasony of not messing with plates. But it turns out i still need to add weigjt plates to it🙄 Well, that defers the purpose of buying these type of sleds. Lol I rather to have a rwgular sled with thoese skids plates under. What's the advantage of these over regular sled since both need to be loaded with plates???

How do I incorporate a sled into my trainning? I am a very fit 50 year old who does fully body workouts (lifting) m,w and f. On t and th I do 20 min of hitt. Battle rope, kettle bell, rogue airdyne bike, and much more stuff. I have two buldging disk in lower back and a bad knee. Knee is fine as long as I don't do too much plyometrics. Fir my back I bought a trap bar.
