Torrevieja the quiet part

We are Scottish and live in this area. The bar you looked at, Bar Ferris, known locally as Paco's is closed due to the terrace being refurbished. The grassy area at our front is often used for photo shoots for weddings, first communions and occasionally by a Place in the Sun. Come back in summer and you'll see a difference.

Discovered that area and Bar Ferris as a meeting point for a walking group - never would have found it otherwise - delightful little spot, hope it reopens

That 1st bar was called Paco's it was pretty lively at night and in a great location. The Nautalus further up is lovely but a half a larger is €3+ euros. Going back a few years their were 3 chirrenguitas up from the Nautalus and they used to do a euro a pint, it was fantastic.

Cala Ferris is a lovely little beach just up the road from there and that bar is where we have eaten many times

Yes, you do not need to learn Spanish in this Area, It's all year round, mad busy roads in the summer. But If you are on an URB you may not have people staying around you all year. It's not the real touch of Spain as it's a big Multicultural area. We love it and still have many friends in the area.
