Torsa lathe chatter problems followup

Interesting. Looked like the cut was picking up on the compound or cross slide or both. Tool seems to raise at least 1/8".

To be honest: I did not notice it during the tests, but it is clearly visible in the video. I suppose that the movement is in the Multifix holder, as the overlap between the base and the part holding the tool is pretty small.

Quick update: during the last months I converted the lathe to angular contact bearings. The spindle seems to run perfectly but the chatter problem persists.

Können sie mir sagen wie sie es gemacht haben, weil ich eine alte Drehmaschine habe mit bronze lager. Ich habe auch chatter probleme und weiß nicht woran das liegen könnte
