I have a citizen watch that got embedded in my driveway it was 6 inches deep in the dirt and mud it snowed 18 inches that year. It was in the driveway for a year almost to the day. It was about 15 days over. I thought someone stole it from my room on the 4th of July. Ended up my girlfriends nieces knocked it outside when they opened my window while they were playing games and music on my PC's. I got super lucky I was visiting my friend there I had moved out months ago. And someone broke the window so I was cleaning it up and when I thought I was going to pick up a piece of glass. It was the bezel on the watch. I was so happy I started to tear up. My mom bought it for me from the money she got from her inheritance when her mom my grandmother passed away. To my surprise the watch was completely fine. Not a scratch or ding on it.

Well the square has been out forever. Makes sense the Chinese Manufactures copy it so well. Either through copying of a little espionage from hte gshock factories. I think most companies have to know by now that you have to assume anything you make over there you are going to see drawing and old molds make it out of the building at some point. Heck I wouldn't doubt some of these watches are made with old shock molds that got "disposed" of cause they outlived the Casio spec for the mold. Also the movements in gshocks are so old now just about anyone could easily copy that silicon I imagine. I'd be all over these if the OG Casios where not very affordable already but if 20 bucks is you limit I'd say go for it. Other than the possibly the strap its gonna be as good as a ghock for most people.

Madrock channel.did a torture test on the full metal Skmei and it refused to die...even being frozen in blocks of ice and left in the sea....it only died when he set fire to it (not recommended)!

Had one of these for a while, took it under water and through workouts. I would have been pleased if it actually kept time, since it's a watch before anything else, but no. I'd recommend a DW5600 instead.

Unless you are a wild animal wearing either of these watches, nobody is going to be burying them in mud, throwing them against a brick wall or running over them with a car purposely. Even though these watches are not 100% indestructible, most people who buy and wear them will take care of them for a long time. The only way these watches will be destroyed is if someone actually loses their watch say after it falling of their wrist unknowingly, and maybe this happens on the street where a vehicle runs over it accidentally. Even if one of these watches does get destroyed, they can be replaced rather cheaply. Most people who wear watches will take care of them over their useful life.

one of the best beater watches you can get, wish they would go that bit further and use better Lume on them. Can see these being one of my best budget watches and I have 14 Gshocks and still wear a cheaper beater when at the gym, in the garden or doing DiY.

Great video as per normal.👍 I do have an idea for a totally unconnected subject. Lume! Why do watch reviewers rave about it? I agree that it may look nice, but apart from that, it's pointless. Yet we have Lume Wars videos. Let me explain; Lume appears on most dive watches, but would anyone dive without a torch? No, therefore rendering the lime redundant. Reading your watch whilst in bed.....prevents a restful sleep. Military operations at night....I'd rather not have anything luminous on me that could identify myself to the enemy 🤠. So I struggle to find it's usefulness really. Perhaps you could make an even bigger name for yourself by slamming it too 🤔

This a deal-breaker for me, the "brought to you by" videos and the subtle (or obvious) entanglements with certain microbrands - they are just ads. I gave up commercial television 30 years ago and use three ad-blockers for a reason. You also avoid the exhausting problems endemic to KZbin. You're staying out of "watch community" BS and you don't talk about your channel. Also I'll add that it's refreshing that your opinions dare to veer away from the dogma that insists that a Casio F91W is amazing when it's crap. And that every watch collection must have a SARB033 (which my accidental three-watch "collection" does) and a Casio Duro (which I've owned). Anyway, enjoying the content, thanks for doing what you do.
