Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable. Interpretive masterpiece. There might be dancers with more power and fancy jumps and spins, but no one I've seen can match the grace and delicacy and absolute inventiveness of Torvill & Dean.

Agree Angie, I have to keep coming on to KZbin to remind myself how Ice Dancing should be performed. They don't seem to dance much together nowadays, and it seems to be a combination of big lift, skate a bit, into the next big lift etc etc. Just not what it used to be.

The phrase "a thing of beauty is a joy forever" applies to Dean's choreography. It is timeless. The two transcend time and space and are Beauty In Motion forever! The fact that they are still ice dancing in 2022 is amazing.

And in some ways even better. When they dance they move as one as if by instinct and without thought. It puzzles me that Jayne looks so much like her younger self and yet Chris looks like someone else. It is more usual the other way around. I'm not saying the years are unattractive, just bewildering. His mannerisms are the same and he seems more temperate in his disposition.

Christopher Dean was a superlative choreographer so far ahead of his time, visionary in many ways. And he was also the most 'balletic' of male ice-dancers in his era....This was pure contemporary dance that you'd see from American Ballet Theater, etc. The pieces he created as a professional are amazing still today.

This had me blubbing I have to say. 6:43 just finished me. Now imagine training for years and years as a couple from Russia, the US, and then seeing Torvill and Dean skate like this...you would think "oh f*ck!" we haven't got a hope in hell.....this is once in a lifetime skating. Total genius routine and perfectly executed. God damned made my eyes leak down my cheeks....

One of their best ever. SO much emotion. They have a magical chemistry not matched by any other couple no matter how good they look or how well they can skate there is something about Torvill & Dean that just touches our hearts like no other do. Christopher is so gentle with Jayne when he lifts her & puts her down. So much care between these two. Love is care. These two dances as one like no other I have watched. A perfect match & perfection on ice I am sure they have taken greats pains to perfect behind the scenes. They are the best ever & always will be. x

I think its interesting that they have described their relationship as marriage without sex...and then stated that skating is better than sex for them. Chris said it in fairly recent interview that you can't really define their relationship...I'm paraphrasing but he said something to the effect that people want to put their relationship in a box but you can't...and they can't either because they don't really understand their bond sometimes either.
