Also Chris and Rhianna were international superstars and had a broader fan base so there were more people to be outraged. The problem wasn't that they were black in that neighborhood, it was that there were gun shots in an area that is not prone to having random gun shots. So the police show up to an area where shots were fired. The reaction from the cops is going to be the same regardless of color. They were going into an unknown situation where shots were fired. So until the situation is figured out, everyone is a suspect. The fan base thing is important because the Chris Brown situation made national news. This allowed more people to know about it. This story did not go past most black outlets. So before I compare the two incidents, I want to see how people behave now that they know the truth.
