I think it's a fair assumption that the audio special effects people would never have guessed that their work would become a lasting entity of its own. As a boy, I used to hold my cassette recorder up to my TV and record Star Trek sounds. I would play the recorded sounds as my Star Trek action figures went on fantastic missions of my own creation! Now, I find these sounds to be comforting when I go to sleep. The kid in me, along with my adult self, thank you for creating a great place to sleep that includes all of the "bleeps", "bloops" and other distinctive sounds of the best sci-fi series of all time! 👍👍👍😁😁😁

I’m basically doing what you were as a kid just with more technology! 😄 I was explaining to someone the other day how I used to record new songs off the radio by pressing my tape recorder up to the speaker and hitting record when it would come on

Or crash landing on a (planet? moon?) with primitive humanoids who throw large rocks and spears. And we are led by a Vulcan First Officer who has the rank of Commander but apparently has not led a landing party ever in his career. I mean seriously, I know the Captain loves to lead landing parties but that is rediculous. 😀
