TOSHIBA RT-SF5 BOMBOX A LOOK INSIDE AND REPAIR

I recently received this cosmeticaly mint condition Toshiba Boombox. The seller said everything worked as it should. When it arived the cassette deck didnt work. These things often work prior to shipping and dont withstand the rough handeling during shipping. I could hear the moter whiring inside so i figured id crack this open and try and restore this unit to working order. Come along if you like seeing the insides of electronics, vintage boomboxes or just want to see if i was able to fix the unit.

Hey! I've had this model for a couple years now, and I can't figure out why, but reverse simply won't function. Play, ffwd, auto reverse, everything else is fine, but rwd gives me a light grinding sound like you described. It appears like the gears are no longer lining up. Ever find a fix to that? It's been bugging me ever since I got it and worked on it, haha.
