Total Battle: How to Develop Your City

It is very easy to develop your city just buy buy buy. Buy resourses and also as important buy speed ups as no one has that many years to live to compete the buildings in the time it takes to construct them. Then, when you're at a quad zillion level, realise these 2 things. 1. Someone else will always be on at least another quad zillion level higher than you, and 2. No matter how much time and money you have expended on your city, you actually own nothing. The motto of this is You will own nothing and you will be happy, if somewhat regretful.

I think it's a total waste buying resources. All you need is log in 2-3 times a day and send captains collecting resources and opening chests. It's free game time. ALL that money buying resources, is much better spent buying stuff you cannot get via normal game play - mercs, portals, blueprints, unlocks, etc.

@TreyHorton I was being sarcastic. What annoys me the most is the excessive values needed to advance in the game and the 7 day limit on mercenaries. I don't mind spending occasionally on the game, but I can't justify the amounts that some players obviously spend. After all, you actually own nothing no matter what level your imaginary clan or city is at, but the money you spend is real.

@@davidsolomon1085 I am with you. I was fine buying the gold ticket but its not enough to grow fast. My clanmates buy gold + elite and then buy $50 or $100 merc packages maybe once a week. That is spending $500 a month on this game and that is equivalent of leasing a car LOL

@@TreyHorton if you spend little, you are little in this game. resources don't need to be bought but merc packages, and other stuff like blueprints, towers, portals, etc - that can take hundreds dollars of month if you want to be a player of consequence in your kingdom. But these tiny might guys - most treat them as NPCs... they just exist on a map along with monsters and resources

Regarding chests for RSS - I always open up small chests 2.5k-500K because i don't want them to accumulate into thousands and being a pain to click but all big chests (1M+) I keep unopened, especially silver. The reason is two-fold: 1. once your kingdom opens up, there is a good chance you and your clan will get raided again and again. Having those resource safe from looters is important to replenish yourself and your clan and 2. in our kingdom (and in most newer ones at least) there are all sorts of penalties paid in sliver if you, knowingly and unknowingly, break the rules and having that silver reserve means I can do it without having issues with my clan.

If you've only been playing for 14 weeks you must have spent a lot to get speed ups cause even with clan chests to get all the buildings you have up to lvl 40 in Clan capital.. That means your hero needs to be way up there in lvl 250 I guess cause I am not even there yet.
