I just did my 2021 RST and this was so easy. I did my exhaust tips also with the Plasti dip and it looks so mean. Over 1k miles with black Plasti dip USB looking exhaust tips and no bubbling, looks perfect. So glad I found this video..take your time when you do it 1st 3 coats do very light ( 2 to 3 pass overs with the spray ) and wait 20 min between each. Your outcome will be flawless

Seriously if your on the fence about doing it just go for it, it's impossible to fuck up, if you do just wait an HR and peel it off and start again. TAKE YOUR TIME BETWEEN COATS it will be excellent

If you're gonna plastidip, MAJOR TIP: Before you spray each coat leave the can in a bowl/bucket of hor water.. Itll go on even and smoothly and changes the finished product by alot. Your first spray leave it in for 20 or so. If done right plastidip will protect whatever you're spraying and last a long time. Sprayed my rims 6 years ago and they're still looking great.. Need to be repainted to cover some fading but other than that no peeling. Its crazy how much companies charge for powder coats and painting rims and a can of this done right can save so much money. I totally agree that the chrome delete looks amazing. I did a pretty big chrome delete on my truck, and it looks super clean. So good judgment there on your part. If it were me, I would take off the plastic dip to display the red on the "Z" for both the bigger and smaller "Z71" logo. I think it would match perfectly with the tow hooks and complete the "theme" for the truck. Keep your "TRAIL BOSS" theme, minus all the chrome. Just an option. Many blessings brother.

Try it with the red Z, I think it would look great and ties in with the tow hooks as well as the taillights. You can always go over it again if you still think it’s an eye sore

Powder coat your exhaust tips. Do the red tow hooks in the same black powder coat. Also I think to make the murder complete you gotta get some black tail light covers or tint them with vinyl.

I did my bowtie black center with the chrome outer in red. Taped it off and exacto knifed to trim. Looks really good with the red tow hooks on my 2024 2500hd ZR2

I Plasti Dipped my emblems on my Silverado over 5 years ago and still looking great. Like your Trail Boss decal always wanted to get rid of the Z71 on mine, but never went through with it. Chevey needs to leave the decals back in the 80's.

I've got a 2020 LT Trail Boss in gray and I kind of like the chrome accents. Your truck looks sweet totally blacked out though but I think I'd let the red Z on the Z71 badges remain to tie in with the tow hooks. I'm not a huge fan of the Trail Boss sticker and I think losing it would make sense for you. Love the videos bro!

I picked up the midnight edition about a month ago and the z71 badge and front bowtie are the only parts I'm not huge on either. How does the plasti dip hold up to regular use like car washes and such once it has had time to cure? Is it really durable? It' be cool if GM had a blacked out version of the High Country. There is allot more chrome accent on the High Country. But, one day I'll have it blacked out. Not permanent, but i've had plastidip on the OG Silverado for 3 year and still looks good. If it's left out in the weather it'll eventually wear out, but you can always peel it off and spray a fresh coat.

Dude that looks great! My 2019 TB Custom is northsky blue and the matte black accents look awesome! I added matte black inserts in my tailgate to accent "Chevrolet". I am looking into having my chrome exhaust tips powder coated matte black as well. It looks really good as I have seen it on another truck. I am going to Linex the rocker panels along the entire lower body line front to back with northsky blue metallic mixed into the linex. Your garage inspires me. LOL! Great stuff!!
