Great video. I didn't know about the V and the waypoint setting system. Thank you! I discovered that if you hold right click on a destination for your squad in RTS mode you can set the final destination facing. Something like Total War. And I agree, the more I play the more I figure out. This is a great game.

Yes I didn't say anything about the facing of the direction by holding, I just assumed people could see I was doing that I should have said that though

This is what I wanted from command and conquer Generals. Make units single controlled in RTS mode and have keybinds to duck, cover, crouch, run, walk, hold, gaurd, move, attack move. I know it started out as a mod but someone should mod this game and create command and conquer generals.

I don't think that I missed it but to let other subscribers know, to get to the tactical/RTS mode you press 'M'

you dont have to teamkill if you are int RTS mode you can just click on a weapon on the left in it switches to the soldier

Can you do a tutorial about the economy? Like how many food (bread) a city can produce with a single bread market? Alcohol etc etc. and how much food you have to transfer for a city to survive? 🎉

when defending a settlement at the start of a battle i noticed your garrisoned squads will be set up behind cover. I was trying to replicate the effect by telling my guys to hold position with the f2 key but it seems only 2 or 3 members of the squad willl find cover. would be nice to have a find cover order.

Yeah it would or if the added in the RTS mode to be able to right click on objects to take cover behind, like I can tell them to occupy buildings

@@majesticturtle7037 yes that kind of mechanic would be nice just so I know they are taking cover wouldn't have to be exactly like that but I can already right click to enter buildings so let me do it to put them behind sandbags or fallen trees or rocks

How do you get the wheel options, looked like a controller? is it only for controllers?

If you are talking about the command wheel where I was selecting specific soldiers then select a squad and click F that pulls up the wheel were you can hold fire and select units in the squad and stuff

how do you have more than 5 squads deploying. playing in 2024 and can only deploy 5 squads of 10 at a time with the rest being via reinforcement. this is what the Steam FAQ states as well. How?!

Hmmmmm not sure maybe they did an update I haven't played this in a bit but try checking your settings sometimes games have settings for how many units can spawn at once which will limit how many squads start out and reinforcements and stuff like that

@@camco1197 I been researching more and it does seem like you can get up to 10 squads active but only via reinforcement. I just been dying way quicker than that! Thanks for the response!

they should make it easier to see your units in RTS mode, like with some frame around each unit type thing, also double clicking or selecting a squad number should take you to the squad from where ever you are on the map, just bought this, and first thing i notice its harder to find your own units on the ground never mind fighting some enemy. Spend half the time looking for my squads and units. Also when you select a squad and give order like prone, the squad immediately becomes unselected, the squad should remain selected even after you give them an order. Basic RTS controls for managing units are not there, like i cant mouse click on map to select a unit , you have to use the number on keyboard or click on squad icon on right of screen. You cant in battle separate units from vehicles in same squad IN short basic squad controls are not there yet for this game , looks like they prioritised what looks good on youtube videos and left basic controls out. To be fair , its only game i ever bought that still reminds you whilst loading that its still in early access
