Would be really cool if the bots will actually try to take cover while advancing/attacking. One of my biggest gripe in military games that include bots is how the bots shoot in the open, not taking advantage of the enviroment

If the AI is smartly done and maybe adding entrenching prep and such. Maybe even a pause feature while giving orders would be good. I hope it grows and gets developed well. Has great potential. Like you said as well mod support would be great. Games with good mod support last longer and really help the developers out I believe.

@@BenGoblin yeah it looks like he just bought a bunch of pretty assets and put them into a pretty engine and did very little to nothing in the way of optimation. The maker of the video kinda overhyped it based on the looks alone but call to arms is definitely still a more polished and fun game. Still a really cool demo but it would need a lot of work before it becomes replayable.

@@__meerka__8251 Well I can help you with that sorta, men of war assault squad 2 UMV 40k mod is the best warhammer game going easily, bar arma 3s mod, RTS but you can take direct control of units as well driving land raiders or charging round as krieg horsemen its fucking awesome pvping against ya mates

I played the game. Everything in the game is just basic: Basic (and ugly) global map. Basic RTS mechanic. Basic FPS mechanic. Tank and vehicle control is meh. p/s: AI is dumb but has aimbot skill

I always wanted a total mixture of vehicle and infintary combat that takes it to the extremes. Yes battlefeild exists but im thinking something like each tank having a crew member whilst being able ro play as infintary

@@luciankristov6436 if its on steam yes im pretty sure. I play squad with a ps4 controller. You are able to go into steams “big picture mode” and program your controller / bind buttons to specific keys. You are also able to assign, regular press, double press, and long press, to a single button. So one button can do many things. Just takes time figuring out how you want to configure your controller. If you are a controller player i recommend you do this. I also recommend you invest in some paddles for your controller. On squad my left controller paddle is binder to the squad radio channel. And my right paddle is binded to free look. You can also assign the left and right side of the ps4 controllers touchpad to different keys. My left touchpad is binded to activate my bipod if im a marksman, and if im an SL i hold the left side to bring up the SL menu. The right side is only binded to vicinity radio/chat But of course you have to first assign those keys a button on the controller so that the paddle can be programmed to that controller button. A bit tedious but sooo worth it if you arent a keyboard player. I only drive vehicles in squad with keyboard and mouse Took me about 6 hours total to lay it out in a way that works best for me Edit: sorry i made an edit and put a tip in between another tip so i apologize if i went back and forth. And damn i didnt realize i typed a whole article

How did u play it? I did not really get a good first impression from it. I tried using infantry with rifles. I kept getting smoked before im able to see anyone. Through bush and grass. Maybe i just suck idk.

Looks really good so far. One thing many games miss or don't have is near constant (background) radio chatter. To fill in IRL scenarios BUT, it can also kill a game dead. If radio chatter sounds goofy like "Yes sir o'boy I got'em Sir.." needs to be professional quality or none at all imo. Sounds like might be some here but hard to hear......

Freeman gorilla warfare is not yet abandoned. I don't know if you still read the dev dairies but the company basically went bankrupt so they fired everyone expect the OG'S. They said the game is being rebuild or something like that. It could be just a trick to scramble the few petty good reviews that's left but time will tell.

@@Unknown_Genius if it was a scam then it was a really good one. I mean i put over a hundred and 50 hours into it. Even tho I despise the state of the game on its release, it had the foundation of a really good game. Additionally abandoned projects isn't a unique thing, like what happened to blueDrake's Normandy 1944 and his other title he abonded. Whatever reasons he abonded these games to I am not sure. But obviously OHD is not a scam. What I could say about the development of Freeman is that the game in some stage of development suddenly went from making the best game possible to making the game as fast as possible (like how they cut the vic even tho it was really fun and added that broken Heli and the occasional broken AI among other stuff in release), you know, since the company went bankrupt. And while That's also not the best excuse to making a bad game as the dev team admitted they had too many workers, and the management was terrible, but I wouldn't throw my hope for the game in the trash just yet. Since they still releasing new info about the game every now and then.

@@JanBadertscher eh, for what it is. It stills holds up to games nowadays. Graphics really doesn't make a huge difference you can reshade and put graphics mods in. The gameplay, mechanics and things to do Is what makes games fun. The graphics In this game look good, it's just nothing new. Maybe the devs will work on it, but it'll make it up there soon.

This is really something else. I did not expect it to be this good until I played it. The sound design and scope of fights makes the widescale warfare very believable. Weapon effects, explosion effects and destructible cover ALL are higher quality than expected. WOW, it's VERY good. Instant Wishlist, this one.

I knew about this kind of content years ago with a game called executive assault(i think) it took the concept of rts, but you could control units and I thought it was the coolest thing. Glad there’s more exposure on stuff like it because I really would love games like these.
