wow. That is so cool, you got a lot to be proud of. When it is something you do yourself, the cost is a factor, but the reward is much greater. Something you can enjoy the rest of your life. Good luck up north. Will be watching you fish( love elder berry juice).

Hey Champ, KZbinr BamaBass built a 5 acre pond and I followed all of his videos on it. He hired a company to come out and tap a well and put a pump on the to pump water into his pond and then he is able to shut it off and if it gets low, he can pump more in. In Oklahoma doing that you wont have to worry about droughts depleting your water. Just some food for thought champ. Keepem tight and Keepem comin....... #GoE²Go

You can use a pump and use the water from the pond to water the seed, that way you won't have to worry about erosion when you do get a heavy rain.

Is there not natural water flow into the pond
@tracywest19222 жыл бұрын
I pd to have mine built and the clay was pinched out after building 3.14 acres so I stopped there. My cost was 15 grand per acre and 20 grand to stock it for a trophy bass pond. That was 8 yrs ago. I also rented a track hoe to build a settling pond to help keep the water clear and that was around 4,000 for 10-day rental. I did that about 7 yrs ago. Hope it all works out for you All fishing guest have to bring a kid with them or there is no fishing;

We spent $17,850 on a pond in 2009 and it's almost 9 acres and that's using High Sulfer fuel too and hired a company to do it. That same size po d would probably cost 3 times that now with cost fuel. Great job Edwin

How long, wide, & tall. Then divide by 27 will give you cubic yards.
@bryanfranks63272 жыл бұрын
Feet long x feet wide x feet tall divide by 27
@bassintheburgh2 жыл бұрын
~1,170 cubic yards in dam. Assumes a perfect rectangle 110' long x 24' wide x 12' deep. you said yards as you were pacing off but seemed like you meant feet. obviously doesn't factor sloping sides of dam or reduction of height where it meets existing grades.
@loganvilletiger50762 жыл бұрын
Edwin paced off 110 YARDS. Cubic yards=3,520
@bassintheburgh2 жыл бұрын
@@loganvilletiger5076 thought that at first also but he took 8 paces (~8 yards) on the dam width and said 24 yards so I assumed he maybe meant feet for both.
