I will migrate to PWS when they get their worker simulation better. In TEW2020, they feel like people, as they have relationships, fights, PR wins & disasters, opinions and whatever, and those will evolve and happen naturally. I don't think PWS has any of that, and it's a major thing for me. In PWS the workers feel like numbers, while in TEW2020 they feel more like actual people.

Well don’t get TEW 2020 now because they are releasing a new game. They often do after 4 years so if you did then that sucks because if you liked it then you now have to decide on getting the new one soon. You should also look into Journey of wrestling which came to steam finally a few weeks ago and was a web game for years and is more accessible and easier than both games.

TEW when using anything other than the Cornellverse (default data) is broken. It's designed for the default data, any other databases you get are going to be biased based on who created them, and trying to properly fit real people into the stats for TEW are guesses at best.

Plus, the built-in Player's Handbook (the ? in the upper right) explains a lot of the things you were saying were unknown/uncertain. Is TEW more in-depth? Yes. Is it less intuitive? Not really.

TEW just announced a new game coming with a July beta and early August release so it’s gonna be interesting how it adds onto 2020 because there’s already a lot there obviously and how PWS compares to the new game TEW IX. I do think PWS has a huge advantage of the steam workshop even tho it’s pretty easy to add mods to TEW. For ease of use tho and accessibility JOW is the way to go. And it’s still pretty deep as well!
