Before surgery, my pain was very bad. I'm so glad I had both surgeries. The first was May 2024, and the second November 2024.

May will be one year for my hip replacement. Was out of work for 12 weeks but have been back to operating heavy equipment and building/maintaining railroad track since last august. Still get groin pain and a little knee and thigh pain, but i slow down like my doctor said when that happens and give it a break. Thanks you for your channel, its been a ton of help for me 👍

Thanks for the update. Glad my channel has been helpful to you. Just out of curiosity, have you ever tried meloxicam for the groin pain? That was my major symptom due to irritated femoral nerve and after surgery. Couple more weeks of meloxicam finally knocked it out. Take care.

@@Life411 I haven't tried that, I'll email my doctor and see about it 👍

Have been watching your valuable videos. I am 80yo and had LTH January 17 2024 I had my RTH in 2007 at 63. Will be having my 6week check up this week and seem to have stalled my progress. The first 3 weeks were very bad as I had severe nausea the plus is I lost 10lbs. Can't tell you how your videos have helped with expectations before and after surgery.

Anita, I'm so glad my videos have been helpful. Sorry you had a rough first few weeks, hopefully things have turned a corner now. If you think of it, let me know how your 6 week checkup goes. Btw, I think I gained the 10lbs that you lost - thanks a lot! 😸

@Life411 Well, I have small goals: to be able to walk without aid, wish I could jump rope again, hula hoop. I am 69, so I'm slowing down. Thanks for asking

My right surgery, I did well. The left. Kick rocks. Ugh. I'm really hard on myself. It's only day 5. I'm hurting and uncomfortable

How busy are you? I’m lucky to get thru one round of exercises! 😂

It's not always easy, but I've always made fitness a priority for probably 35 years. Hang in there, I always remind myself when I'm busy or unmotivated that any exercise is better than no exercise.

Did you have anterior or posterior
@Life41111 ай бұрын
I had a variation of anterior called anterior based muscle sparing or ABMS. But if your surgeon is employing modern minimally invasive procedures, it seems that the outcomes are very similar. Regardless of the procedure you choose. More important is to get the best surgeon possible. Hope this helps
