I discovered Dr. Voddie Baucham about 9 or 10 days ago! As an avid Bible reader (not a scholar) I have my perception of what I believe is the truth in the Bible. I am a Southern Baptist by upbringing and by conviction. I have been listening to Pastor Baucham almost exclusively since I discovered him, for 10 hours a day. I haven’t found any points of disagreement with him and he has changed my mind on a couple of things. I just love this man of God!!! Thank you Dr. Baucham! A true man of God

I love to listen to Dr. Baucham. He teaches from the Word so well and it challenges me to keep moving forward in regards to my walk with Christ. He also has brought my attention to things like the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689 which spell out chapter and verse what Baptists believe and why. I need to read more of what the Puritans wrote next; he mentioned them in another sermon and roused my curiosity.

A great place to start is called "The Valley of Vision" its a compilation of prayers and devotions of the Puritans.

Guys, I'm seeing a lot of people saying "that's not what Eph 2:4 says". Well, the Semper Reformanda conferences are going systematically year by year through the 1689 confession. This year (2022) is going through chapter 6. This is from paragraph 4. All of his listeners at the conference knew what he was referencing. He quotes Eph 2:4 later.

I'm following with my Bible and that's not what the verse is saying in Ephesians 2:4 He's usually not off but I'm confused on why I can't find that verse. The message is great but I like to follow along biblically.

It’s on the very next page, it’s a little confusing at first but it’s on the next page chapter 2.

I checked aswell and indeed, it isn't there. What he's saying is coming from the 1647 Westminster Confession of Faith. I searched what he stated and found that it is the source of that statement, specifically chapter 6, paragraph 4. So he didn't err when he mentioned reading from paragraph 4. I believe that this is just a misunderstanding because the video is cropped and so we don't know what was said prior to the beginning of the video. His reasons for mentioning Ephesians chapter 2 is because the confession of faith in chapter 6 paragraph 4 references Ephesians 2:2-3 (as well as other bible verses that form the basis of the statement in paragraph 4). What I think he was trying to say was that the congregation should turn their bibles to Ephesians chapter 2 as he read from the 1647 confession writeup in Chp.6, paragraph 4. If you rewatch the video he mentioned the confession. Then after he also takes from Ephesians 2:5 I hope this helps.

I was born again and really mess up and did the most wrong. Why me. I am female PK and was in Christ and help several others come to Him. I feel Given over and satan Disgusting tricks and lies. And me sinning against my own body and now cut off and lost. I wasn't like this and should not have played. I hate this. No armor no husband just rot and body black. They also trick me. I just dive into sins and was in. Church and singing and noW JUST SIT AND dysfunctional I should have stayed away from world and lies. I seriously thought I was saved and ok. Then 2016 fell God destroying me. I was so deceived. I want to at least be restored and Know God and not lose everything I heard or been taught I God is angry with me. I am not even warring. Holy ghost Grieved and I feel flesh rot the worst sinss this is a shame. DEPRESSION and flesh. No kind of Biblical life and this TV AND ALL. I was nothing like this.

What does the Calvinist do with, among the many passages, Matthew 23:37-38, "37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! 38 See, your house is left to you desolate"? Is Jesus a liar? Did He actually not want them to be gathered to Him? Did He actually make is so they could not?
