Nice visual summary of the event! Enjoyed your livestream a lot, too! (I was the one who pointed out that the crater you were calling Proclus, was really Aristarchus. In my youth I was an avid lunar observer.) I "tuned in" to your livestream because here in central Md., it was clouded out. But then, during totality, I checked outside again, and it was clear right where the Moon was! So from then on, I was able to take in your YT view AND the actual eclipse first-hand, too! Great setup you've got there in Vestal, NY. Thanks for livestreaming and for this! Fred

Hi there Fred-thank you for that correction! I’m so glad the skies cleared up for you. Your experience is exactly what I hope for during these astronomical events. We hope everyone goes out to look for themselves and our stream can just complement your observing experience.

Great I love Timelapse. Just for my personal info, what is your time shot interval ?
@KopernikObservatory
@KopernikObservatory 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, great question! In truth, this isn’t a traditional time-lapse, rather it’s sped up video captured from the monitor of our camera. Unfortunately, this makes the image rather noisy, whereas proper frames would mitigate some of that.
