Couple quick things to keep in mind in regards to cavalry; Even very light cavalry will really hurt or even outright butcher infantry that is moving, engaged in battle, or otherwise unbraced when charged which is why your swords got annihilated out of nowhere when the enemy cav charged back in and why the scout equites had 230+ kills at the end of the battle. Flaming missiles aren't useless like in Rome 2. They not only do damage but they get a bonus vs large that is actually quite significant. If you need to butcher a cavalry unit that won't blindly charge your spears then it's a good idea to let your archers/crossbowmen flame them.

lionheartx10 l hope you see this before you start filming the next part. However l posted a message on your part 2 of your Saxon campaign, in which during a battle where you tactically retreated your army from battle. in this section of the video a single soldier of one of your Nordic Bowman regiments was running towards the enemy hypothetically yelling "Hold on guys l got this!" l would find it awesome if you named one of your armies 'That One Nordic Bowman" in his honour and name. :D

Really enjoyable content from you lionheart. Total War being the first game I ever really got into (back with Rome in 2004), its great to revisit it after a number of years not really going near the series. Sadly though I am not the best player now that I am back. But watching this hopefully should help me improve with my organisational skills, because you seem allot more adept at it then me :P

Don't know if you know but under Dominion in your family tree panel there are those two buttons, the right one shows more clearly everyones loyalty and influence points :D and I've been using women to gain control and loyalty of the males.

I still think that CA needs to give the next TW game a trait system like crusader kings 2 or atleast give back the trait system of Rome and Medieval 2 and flesh it out.... I just loved it when a general could become 'horribly scarred' and get the nickname 'scarface' or when the general was born 'insane' and his nickname would become 'the mad'...... aaaah the good old days.

***** . this may sound silly but its good to remember you can rename cities and i believe provinces and well as armies in this game :). so you good give the cities the saxon names if you wished or GOT names :P. unfortunate with the desync but still a good episode. i know its a lot of money and will take half an army in each case but would be good if you could resettle belgica at some point ( but if you form a cheap army of wardogs :P lessens the blow) then you have such a significant foothold on the continent and it would curtail the franks and lessen the blow of the tribes growing power. as for britain the picts may join your side anyway because of the defensive alliance, however those roman british hordes are concerning to say the least. finishing off britain is first priority though then maybe after consider securing gaul and resettlement

you can always divorce your wife when she takes to long to provide, Esla went through 2 wives before providing a few white lines. You should consider investing in a fleet , they exceptionally powerful especially if you catch an enemy army at sea many of the early enemies against the Saxons do not have fleets and travel over sea a lot.

I got attila a few days ago, and I always played rome total war 2 but when I installed attila it said update your driver and I did and it still crashes after you press play game, anyone know what to do, haven't really seen creative assembly say anything to help yet, and great vid lionheart been a number 1 fan of yours for years :)

does anyone know when a religion counts as dominant ? I have 30 Provinces under my Control and my faction Religion is Greek Christianity. In at least 70% of the provinces there are like 60+% of Greek Christianity, but still the game says my religion is only dominant in 6 provinces. Any tips, am i overlooking something obvious ?
