Whenever your likelihood of success is high, you can always ask for money in return for the trade agreement. Getting lump sums like that in the first turn is pretty crucial, I reckon you could have made a cool 3000 just from the first turn if you asked for cash from those trade agreements..Just something to keep in mind I guess :)

Heir! You must take your troops out off the cities. In this version, people get pissed when troops are living in the city. It's sort of like how people here in America got pissed that British soldiers could live in your house and you'd be forced to quarter them. You need to put them near a city or near a major causeway and place them in Patrol stance. It makes the red area around your army grow so that it cannot be passed as easily and it makes people happier. It also increases income, I think this is because the troops are acting like a local police and sort of help the people grow their crops or whatever and then from burglars I guess? But anyway the point is, take out of cities, put in patrol stance

Great mod. Played about 10-15 hours on campaign using DEI now and it's great, also had a siege battle vsing a friend on the biggest Rome map with ultra funds and large armies and the battle lasted 1h 40m, every minute of it a struggle and a lot micro. A few people dislike the long battles, but I personally really like the longer battles, especially now that micro such as retreating tired troops and reinforcing with fresh troops is now a viable, and necessary strategy. Enjoyed the vid too man, keep up the good work.

Peik Korhonen Well... That's up to personal preference I guess. I still find original Rome and Medieval II are far superior, pretty much only mechanic they lack in my opinion is army replenishment. Mods like this one even the situation for Rome2, but the predecessors also have incredible mods. Even after all the patching, the way Rome2's engine handles unit collision is still terrible (like at 49:55) when compared to the two aforementioned, and main reason why I never really enjoyed the battles. My loss.

I downloaded this mod with some of the submods after you previewed this, I have thoroughly enjoyed the changes to the campaigns and battles. However the straight infantry grindout if you are unable to outflank can really drag out. Also, some things like being automatically ambushed in "Patrol Stance" seems a bit silly. The diversity of the units and unit skins are really nice. Plus being able to recruit local units is really neat and makes for more diverse and interesting armies. Overall I think these mods greatly add to the depth of play and greatly increase replay ability and enjoyment. I really recommend these mods to anyone wanting a change of pace in their Rome 2 campaigns.

i know this is old but for anyone starting a Carthage campaign you can get a lot of money, like 20k by asking for money off trade agreements. When you see that someone is high trade, add a non aggression pact and demand money until it says moderate and they should accept. It gives you a nice boost at the start. You can also systematically demand money from faction that like you. You can get upwards of 20k from Egypt once they like you.

Heir, I would advise that when other factions have a high chance of accepting a deal, you should ask for money, as they will almost always pay. The extra cash tops up the benefit of having trade agreements and helps especially early in the game.

Just a quick tip to anyone watching: you can make around 15k gold by demanding payment from the other factions (they are willing to pay for your trade network). You can then use this gold to create a non-aggression pact wall with whichever front you are not interested in fighting initially.

Honestly for me its the way the campaign is.I don't like that the hordes go all ape shit on the whole map and destroy every thing. The fact that in less than 60 turns the Roman empires are almost destroyed and that the charge of one cavalry unit is as deadly as the shot of an MK4 Merkava.Though I do like the family tree,I like the graphics, the period as well and maybe the way technology and sieges are made.Ofcourse there are some other minor things that I am forgeting but i think you get the idea.

DEI is amazing. Ever since I used DEI, Armenia became my favourite faction. Their Armoured Horse Archers are among the best; and the Armenian Legionaries steamroll anything; or prevent the enemy from steamrolling you. But the single most annoying thing with Armenia is the IA Campaign. You are located on the single worst location you could ever spawn. Parthia may be at war with Antony, but they prefer to steamroll me instead of Antony. And no matter how far you drive them back, they always have an ginormous army (actually around 5) waiting for you near Hecatompylos. I can take everything from Edessa to Ekbatana to Susa/Charax and raise a military wall against Parthia (and their allies). But I can't seem to push through. Parthia has at least 5 armies parked around Ragha or Hecatompylos. Drangiana has at least near Susa, and Paradene is constantly smuggling 3 armies into Ghazaca/Phraaspa. Very little difficulty destroying those armies, but when I try to push forth, the same amount of armies seem to magically spawn right at their capitals. You'd think Parthia would run out of cash after I took half of their regions, but apparently they have some gold-shitting donkeys. Anyone here got another strategy with Armenia in the IA Campaign?

I rather see you do campaign more so over online because after a battle of campaign the game isn't 'over,' and the viewers can see the battles that will come on the next episodes. In the campaign mode, every action comes with a reaction. Online battles are good fillers for viewers to watch, while we're waiting for a campaign episode. Just wanted to give my input. Thanks!
