My usual formation for this game is usually spears at the front some throwing jav dudes behind then 6 archers then 6 cav or 4 if I have more spears and missile cav is a bonus I lokw to have so usually 2 of them...I usually just flank my cav from one side usually depends on wat the ai does and I often act on impulse attack so meaning if my unit says its going to be a bit silly I ll back it up as best as I can go with the flow as it were usually goes well

I usually mass my Cav on my left flank, sometimes leaving 1 unit on my right. In Rome 1 and Med 2 ( not sure on RR ) the AI units were more vulnerable on their right ( un shielded side ) which would actually be historically correct. So i like to hit the enemy on their right with missiles and charge them on that side.

I am at 80 ad I have now I think secured south India but north india is proving to be q bit of scare at the moment a lot of blue bacteria faction have turned up to take my birth india they were when they declared war with me 80 per cent tougher in the diplomat screen where I noticed and I was like this is gonna be hard even in this easy setting oh well I am also at war with parthia I changed my capital to north India and I think maybe devanapatana would have been a better choice bang on north centre of india right on the mountain range as I have noticed my Sri Lanka citys are just a bit more happy now with this choice and the money change was good from minus 3k to 25 k soon as I made the change I was at minus 6 k when I decided it was time to center my capital a bit better for less corruption

Bactria usually gets very big as they only have Rebel neighbors but in this version they have the Xiognu and another faction on their East and North, so just a bit harder for them. How's your Trade ? I'm guessing most of your income is from Taxes, farming and internal trade. Bactria would be blocking all your international trade unless you have some good ports on the Indian ocean.

Lol I said 6 at the start er no only 2 to 4 spear infantry throwing spears first 6 archers 2 missile cav 6 cav and maybe a general

In most of my Total War games/mods i like to go missile heavy as well, doing as much damage from range is very satisfying 😄

Currently my choice army is 6 basic spear throwing runaway spearman 2 to 4 of then 6 archers 2 missiles cav and 6 to 4 tribal cav it and maybe one general of the family usually one who is about to snuff it anyway ...there does seem to be a lije of fire issue with spears I don't think they like friendly fire with spears going into the back of there comrades

Yeah getting units to fire on the enemy is a bit buggy, quite often even when they have clear line of sight they'll refuse to fire, if i try to manually fire on the enemy my units just charge into them.

I should say my central capital india city is about to be taken I have no choice as 3 stacks of bacteria turned up to say hi to my one stack I might survive but I am not sure and I have lost usually against 2 full stacks to my one with this chinses faction I have used to so far but maybe better units might change that I am just being tight on my better army choice at the moment trying to keep the value of my armys as low as possible

Region muarya is my capital I change the name lol anyway it has a choke point on it so it's a great area for a capital as I just found out they can't 3 stack attack my capital I just saved it

Nice ! yeah being able to move your Capital is great for strategic purposes. Also i don't think there's any cost to so in this.

@IceniTotalWar ya I was up every turn and I still am I now have around 8 armies taking india and 4 holding the onslaught by partially who are working very hard to take my northern city's now but I am up to 70 province now from around 30 and 50 I don't think I am struggling anymore
