this is my first and last total war game i ever play, me and my friend played a campaign for the first game and we agreed to split china apart and than battle it out I had south-west china and he had north -east china, he went for the Mongolian horse cav strat and I went for the song dynasty econamy build. the start of our war was at the southern jungles and the thing is my friends army was mostly cav and he tried to use ambushes on me but since the maps were jungle and I won those batles until he discovered something. apparently he could auto resolve battles without my consent since that is the default option in this game when you host an mp game, and because his army was made out of the best cav units he won the auto resolve every single time, and kept auto resolving until I rage quit.

@Dino_Stan the idea was great and very much relied on a gentlemans agreement, and since it was my first total war game we just agreed to fight the ai and split up china, after we finished the ai we gave each other a couple turns to build up and then have a massive war as if it is like a star wars empire at war campaign. Problem it takes a lot of time to clean up all the ai, and the fight between players will definitely be even longer. That is not talking about how you devide china for me and my friend it just happened. But if you get it working with a group of friends and you enjoy the larp, it is really nice. Just make sure to disable the option for auto resolve with no consent from the second player.

@Dino_Stan his mongol cav larp failed to work in the jungle of southern china, and he really wanted to win because i had the rich and populace parts of china so i could scale up. His only advantage is that he held the horse tiles, so the maintenance for them was practically zero (he saw a spiffing brit video). And wanting to win after some defeats realizing his strategic disadvantage, he did an evil move and auto resolved everything, making me rage quit.

I love modern TW games the best. Once I got them modded the hell out of them so moral is back, put in all the Darthmods and all the realistic military mods so they kinda look like how they used to work. Only then would I play them.
