The corrupted spawning pool is essentially the skaven corrupting the lizard men's spawning pool, meaning that instead of adult lizard men coming out ready to do their jobs. You get these mangled mutated beasts that cannot keep themselves alive A.K.A the skaven get food.

Jon, Bless with filth has the targets "self, ground, ally" which means it's a buff. It says Imbued which means it is applied to weapons basically. The type is augment which means a buff for your side. If you had read the prompt thoroughly you would have understood it, but you never read things thoroughly. Oh, and the flavor text literally says it goes onto allied weapons.

Assuming the Dwarves work similarly to Warhammer I, they don't need a mountain pass to get to you, they can use tunnels to move through impassable terrain.

Dwarves have a special movement type that means they can pass through mountains and do not need to stick to estabished paths

Jon, units also stay in formation if you put them in a control group and then click the lock button to lock the formation. Then you can just click to move and they'll move in formation. Alternatively, you can use the arrow keys to move and they'll move in formation at least to a point I think.

Treetops vanishing did not happen in Warhammer 1, and the much thicker and more detailed foliage made trying to keep track of combat in forests even more frustrating than in Rome. Glad to see they have finally addressed that - now if they'd just patch it into WH1 ...

Also worth noting Jon, sometimes when a city looks like a ruin on the world map, it's actually owned by Skaven. Skaven cities look like ruins to everyone else (since they live below the city, not in it), you only find out it's skaven owned when you get a lord nearby and or just plain attack it.

Great choice Jon! What make tww2 really different from other tw titles is not the vortex. It is the diversity of units, gameplay, and strategy. The vortex is just a new endgame mechanic, like Mongols.

Everything that is larger than a basic guy/gal on foot is considered large. Cav, monsters - you name it. anti large works against it. On spells - be mindful of the descriptions if a spell buffs an ally to afflict their targets with a debuff or an enemy directly. Dwarfs can just use underground paths - the mountains won't stop them from popping into your territory at any given time. In the worst case you can watch the spell browser to see a short clip of how a spell works. (the hotkey for each of those is shown when you hover over the spell in the battle) Siege equipment: in TW:Warhammer you can take advantage of the ability to force ground targeting as well as manual shots (the later reach way further than what the AI is capable) You can group multiple troops. Each group can either stick with your formation or just act as a control group. No need to go over the entire 'alt hold drag' thing

The public order on occupation bugs me in warhammer, are you subjugating the previous race or killing them and moving in your race? The architecture change and buildings suggests the later, so the public order on occupation doesn't really make sense

Sp4rt4nSl4ya it's because of the Black Hunger. Skaven become ravenous with hunger after fighting battles and often gorge themselves upon the corpses of the slain (enemy and foe), if they don't they die.

Hopefully. The meta map has a bit less going for the warhammer games. But the unit and faction diversity beats the old games when it comes to actual combat. In warhammer even the 'basic town militia vs the other factions basic town militia' match-up is a completly different experience. It is some fresh air compared to the old 'All armies are the same - just with restrictions on how high of a tier they can build for a unit type'.
