this is so much better than the Necron lore. so impressed. I would totally rpg in this society and neglect to tell my players they're actually dead

Dont some fringe tomb kings sometimes cultivate relations with the living in various....awkward pacts so to speak as nomads or even settlements on a fertile oasis or some other isolated place in the eternal desert with the tomb kings accepting...vassalage as it were with the local tomb king ruler because of clinging to his old idea as a king or because he made a pact and then forgot the deal, sometimes leading to the soldiers having odd interactions since while protected the dead have rather odd habits like standing watch in fields for 2 decades straight unmoving in their devotion. Basically, exist by edict and stay in the creepy place for unknown reasons.
@jumbothick29846 жыл бұрын
The only settlement I know of is Numas where the Scythians help defend the sacred places of the local Tomb King and when they die are ritually cleaned of meat and the bones are raised to serve the King in death. It is rather creepy and there may be more outlying smaller settlements like this, but this is the only one I came across when looking at the army books.
@OriginalSoulbourne6 жыл бұрын
Thought there was more in a unique relationship with some minor tomb kings. Not quite as symbiotic so much as just not neccesarilly outright hostile existance of some tribes and villages. Even if they did exist from what I know of the desert itself it'd be rather small things and probably more of a "tolerated guest" relationship if I were to guess since the tomb kings while still clinging to their kingdoms have minimal use for the living, while at the same time the deserts themselves have some slight issues with the living existing in them after nagash got done with them. Course, can't remember where I heard of these things from so may be way off base.

Jep Tomb Kings have finenite number of soldiers but lets not forget that Nehechara was nation at least 2000k years old before Nagash. there is Allot of dead in the tombs. So soldiers are not ending so soon only the most elite ones.

FrostWolfPack and even then the more elite ones can be restored, or turned into something else.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Vampire Count's also have humans living in their lands? I swear I read somewhere that VC have humans to farm the lands and provide blood sacrifice.

@@DanMcLeodNeptuneUK Supposedly not just for that. I mean, sure that's probably the main purpose (let the cattle raise themselves), but they also got military regiments(definitely crossbow men) which are a part of their war host. Thanks for the Video Jumbo! Were/are you much of a Tomb Kings in table top player? What do you think if what CA has done with them?
@jumbothick29846 жыл бұрын
I actually have never played table top. I have always been more interested in the lore and books, but so far I am very happy with what CA has done with them. They seem to have done a good job distinguishing them from the other races and have some interesting mechanics that make a lot of sense.

@jumbothick29845 жыл бұрын
Yes with the birth of Age of Sigmar GW has confirmed they are different universes.
@deeross21705 жыл бұрын
Thank you for asking that question. I tried finding that answer late last night. I always assumed one was considered the past of this universe and the other the future of said universe.
@voxkine93855 жыл бұрын
I felt like they could have them both occurring at the same time in the same universe given how the chaos realm warps time and space. Figuring that a human world entered the warp before unification and exited at a point in the distant past and other sci-fi time travel nonsense, I could see them being able to take place in the same universe.
