the reason that your dinos were taking so much damage was because darkshards have a lot of armor-piercing, combine that with the fact that dinosaurs are large targets which make accuracy a non issue.

Fighting Thorek gave me a flashback to my most recent campaign. I was playing as Repanse, and Thorek went to war with me. I killed him, and then met the other dwarves factions. They HATED me for killing Thorek, so much so that Belegar was at -1040 diplomacy! Most of the late campaign was spent fending off dwarves, and the allies they brought in (wood elves and Empire). Actually had a trade agreement with the Chaos Dwarves, because all of the other Order factions hated me so much! So yeah, killing Thorek in your campaign made me a little nervous…

Gotta remember with the undead and the settra and them especially. They are still beholden to the fact they cannot recruit more units unless they went down the research path to hold more lords. The Ai can cheat to get research faster but they are still locked behind that limitation. Most times I see Settra stuck or pushed back since he is usually on his own for the first 50 ish turns, sometimes with a second lord with general garbage following. Second you killed him then and there, there was almost no way for him to effectively recover long term. But again depending on difficulty and the like the Ai might be able to skip research entirely and have 5 armies or more so who knows. Edit: in this case it seems like they indeed, pulled research out their ass and had basically 5 armies.

Any idea what challenge you'll be doing next? I've always had the idea of doing an "artillery only" campaign, but I'm sure you can imagine the struggles that could arise from that. But still, if you don't have anything else in mind, maybe you can try it out first and see if it's a nightmare.

@@BrilliantStupidity Skarbrand only could get old quickly. I like the pump wagon idea, lots of micro and interesting tactics. What about “Only beasts Beastmen”? You have unlimited recruitment of the basic hounds and you can get some nasty critters later on. Plus some of the heroes give good buffs.

Great vid, all your challenge campaign are. The game is so broken tho lmao. usually it's the other way around, game comes out bugged and then gets fixed. with tw3 I feel like they double the amount of glitches every patch. Upright dinos are fun and all but I can't wrap my head around why they are ignoring so much game breaking issues not to mention cosmetic ones.

Missile strength is a bit of a misleading stat because it doesn't actually give you the damage per shot, but rather the damage a unit would deal in 10 seconds. Like, it says that the Pale Death has 976 missile strength, but the actual damage per shot is "only" 640 (unless you include their hefty anti-large, but that doesn't contribute to the missile strength value). The thing is, they have a relatively quick reload time of 6.65 seconds, so they manage 3 shots in 20 seconds or 1.5 shots in 10 seconds, and 1.5 times 640 is 960.. This gets particularily misleading with ranged Regiments of Renown because they are considered max ranked units and therefore get all the ranked bonuses, including some reload speed, so they are displayed to have higher missile strength even though the damage per volley is exactly the same. Default Troglodons for instance are stated to have a flat 800 missile strength even though their actual missile damage is exactly the same as the Pale Death.

I can’t even fight the enemy because they force March two steps out of my range every turn and the only mod I use is one to remove ai agents so I can move across the map without being a chicken wing in fat camp
