I love disassembling cars for some reason, and watching it is just as satisfying. Crash damage always goes deeper than you think. Kudos for being methodical and not just rippping shit off. Also, doggos.

Built several Subies , it's the process that is addicting , after the build you don't know what to do with yourself , so you want to do it again ....... that's me anyway ! Nothing like that personal connection that a built car gives you ! Good luck !

You are so right!!! I can't sit still and love Subies, so I just bought another project car :-) my wife tells me not to finish it too fast

Here's what I did with my daughter's Impreza a few years ago. Hers had some front end damage, but especially the radiator support and lower, I faced the car toward a nearby tree, and using a chain and straps and a come-along, was able to pull the areas back to normal. This is much more controlled and gradual than using a hammer. Also you may not have much room to swing a hammer. With the car in gear and ebrake on and block the wheels, it shouldn't move when pulling.

Mine looked just like this when it was hit at a stoplight. It didn’t total and the frame rails were pretty bent lol

Did you measure the car before cutting out rad support? This is the normal procedure so you can make the right pull and get the car squared before cutting off anything. Did I miss something?

You did say you’re going to do motor refresh right? Like head gaskets and timing ext...?
@BradBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Not sure if I said it, but yes! Motor is getting refreshed soon :)
@eriqrosado33374 жыл бұрын
BradBuilds i’m pretty sure you said it when you introduce the project I could be wrong. I just figured I’d ask because to see you do all that work and pull it apart. I’d hate to see you get it back together and have a head gasket go.
