Ha fatto in tutto21 o 22 film, ha vinto 3 Oscar, unico, e questo già dice molto su lui, ma è vero, molti non lo conoscono per via della sua riservatezza. Ma alcuni film sono lui, lui se li porta in spalle, praticamente tutti, a dire il vero. E sono rimasta incredula quando, in Nine( a proposito un film che senza di lui non avrebbe storia) l’ho sentito parlare, lui che è il campione dell’inglese perfetto, in un inglese con un incredibile pronuncia perfettamente italiana, come se lo parlasse qualcuno di noi italiani! Come non essere incantati dalla inarrivabile bravura di quest’uomo!! GOAT come dicono gli americani!!

Wish a more emotional clip was used for The Bounty. DDL made John Fryer, a bit part, stand out as a pivotal part of the story; a turning point. Also the ending soliloquy in The Crucible ‘made’ that movie! Without that DDL performance; the Crucible was at best mediocre. He brought the entire story to a high level.
