Thank you I watched three other videos if not for trying to pull that Center Bar up. It wasn't until I saw your simple instructions to pull that tension knob out that I had any success. I bought a total gym Elite from the Total Gym outlet store and I was worried that someone welded something shut LOL until I saw your video thank you very much. Thanks a lot man. I took one apart, because I bought it from small woman who husband recently passed, and while it was easy, taking it apart, even with the instruction booklet it was still not so easy to get it back together with the minute aspects, especially considering there are extra parts. I have no idea what these do and I've been a gym rat for 20 years

How do I even attach the squat stand? It doesn't have instructions inside. The link on the box leads to this video. I bought this as "fully assembled" and it isn't.

had the very same experience, difficult to slide down and unfold, also the wing attachment is different mine came in two separate pieces not as one unit. I also have another pully attachment I don't know what to do with it. I paid so much money for this thing I like it but disappointed on the instructions...what instructions? I didn't get any but old videos that didn't pertained to my model. It would be nice if you have a video for each model you have and "how to" on all the attachments you have. To this date I don't know what or how to attach this pully or how to use it, I don't see it being use on any of the videos. It's a pully with a rope and some hooks....yup i'm lost on this one. Thanks

Yes, it does. Attachments for the XLS and the Fit are interchangeable.

I finally figured it out on my own but these videos need to be model specific. There are totally different parts to assemble and only black pins to pull, not color coded. Thank you.

I’m not sure how the safety pin C goes in. I know it goes down the bottom of the upright piece but mine only has a hole in one side. Obviously I need help please if anyone can enlighten me. I have checked all the videos I can find already

The C pin should be placed directly under the level you are working at. If for some reason the other 2 pins fail, the C-pin will help the rails from crashing down.

Somehow your middle pulley is connected right to the glide board ??? Got mine and set it up and have no idea where to attach the pulley. Keep trying to attach it the glide board but it falls right off?

If you are using the machine for squats, you don't need the cable attached. If it's attached while doing squats, the cable handles will be dragged up and down, making a lot of clanking noise.

Hi Nancy - yes it did. You have to put in the opposite end of the position slot. Look at the 2:05 mark again in the video.

@@suehardy6600 I have the Total Gym Extreme and my safety hitch pin goes on the opposite side of the position bar pull handle. [i.e. If I move my bar to position "5", the safety pin will go on the opposite side of the pull handle that you use to adjust the height. If I am facing the bar and looking at the car deck/holder, this will be on the eft side.] Does that help?

Video herin shows a completely different bar, similar to bicycle handle bar. Our Total Gym Fit did not come with that bar, had 4 other pieces having to figure out their assembly since book directions barely touched on it and at best vague. Additionally, the initial unfolding of the assembly out of box was NO wheres near as effortless as in the video either. The load bearing beams were jammed or pushed together so hard, so tightly, more than moderate force was required to enable it to unfold.

Sorry you are disappointed with your purchase. We have traded out the one-piece wing with two-piece for the past 3 years (unfortunately this video is a little older than that). However, every outlet that sells the Total Gym FIT notes that you will receive a two-piece wing attachment. So the 4 pieces you had to "figure out their assembly" for... is that sliding the foam onto the individual wing attachment pieces like the owners manual states on page 7 (totalgymdirect.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/TGFIT.pdf)? Or was it the 4 pieces of the AbCrunch, of which the assembly is outlined on Page 9 of the same owners manual?
