Justin chatwin read the entire manga to prep for the role Emma Rossum argued for Bulma to have blue hair like she did in the anime. Chow yun fat supposedly even grew a beard before being told to shave it and refused to act unless he could wear a Hawaiian shirt at least. Even Wilder, toriyama was there and they literally made him leave because they were doing so bad that he kept telling them to fix things so often they got annoyed and made him go away because they just didn't want to fix the things that were blatantly wrong with the story. This guy was like desperate to just try and make this movie even slightly more okay than what this studio was trying to make it and sadly he failed because now we all know Dragon Ball evolution as "THAT DBZ movie"

I forget the exact quote but I think it was either he didn't was evoution being the last thing in the franchise or he just realized how much people still loved it and decided to bring it back for at least one more run. So unless you hate Dragon Ball Super which exists thanks to battle of gods, then some good did come out of Evolution's production even if it had nothing to do with the movie itself.

I dont think anyone ever spoke ill of Marsters' portrayal of Piccolo. Hell, he was probably the ONLY consistant actor in his portrayal, delivering depth and emotion to Piccolo in a movie where it seemed everyone just dicked around. Marsters in general is just a rockstar. He was amazing on Buffy and Angel, and he was hilarious in his Supernatural cameo with Charisma Carpenter.

I feel bad for the cast of DBE. Like Justin Chatwick for example. He wasn’t initially a fan of dragon ball prior to being cast as Goku. However he did read all of the manga available at the time and proceeded to watch all of the anime (including Z and all its filler) in preparation for the role. Then him and many others cast for the movie were very upset with the direction the movie was going and things like how Goku is in high school, his hair looks stupid, etc etc.

Don't know if it was true, but I once heard that originally DB: Evolution's Picolo was going to be blue. Apparently, it was Marsters who got them to change it to keep things as close to the original source material as possible. I still dislike the movie but always respected Picolo's actor for his love of Dragon Ball.

One I like bring up with the DragonBall Evolution movie is that with how it turned out Toriyama was pissed off he came out of retirement made the Battle of Gods script. So it was so bad it revived Dragon Ball. So any actor who played a role in the could also be given some credit for the revival of DragonBall.
