Heaviest solo mode to date. I thought the Saboteurs in Weather Machine was hard...... lol. Holy Hell! I dread to think what Speakeasy will be like. Otherwise brilliant game. Thanks for your hard work mate.

I actually find the bots in Inventions to be pretty manageable and more straightforward than in Weather Machine. I don't know how to explain it, but there isn't so much of a decision tree, where you have to weigh the best option. No, once you determine their action, the action itself is merely performed. For example, they always go to the first location where an action can take place, not the "best" place. I find it requires less cognitive effort to run them. Check out Part Two where I really speed up the actions, and I think you'll see what I mean. In fact, after a few plays, I find all of Inventions feels more straightforward. It reminds me most of the Gallerist, in fact. Or maybe I've just played one too many Lacerdas for my own good! :) Thanks so much for watching!

Hey, around 42:20 or so, Hephaestus took a present action. He was supposed to move his Epoch pillar. He couldn’t do that, because the pillar was already in the same forum. It’s a mistake I’ve made a bunch, but you really need to remember to try moving his pillar before taking the action.

Great video! On minute 41:00 I belive that you cant take a Wealth Tile if your 4 spaces are full, instead you can take a Wild aspiration tile and replace an other aspiration on your board if able

He can but must replace (and put in his supply) his aspiration tile(See step4 of "Share an invention Action").

@@bettorapetto yes, you are right, i got confused because in page 11, the excess of aspiration tiles dont include wealth tiles, but i guess the share an invention includes Wealth tiles

How admin heavy did you think it was? Did it eventually flow?

It absolutely flows. Chronos takes 10 seconds max. Hef is more difficult and a couple times per game will have a mega turn. Remembering when they take a progress tile and when they don't takes a few plays, but referencing their actions is super easy, barely an inconvenience. It is annoying to have to check if they have a particular progress tile and then maybe have to take the next one, and check if they have that one. But I found managing the AI was easier in Inventions than Kanban or Weather Machine, but more than say Gallerist. There is quite a bit to do between eras but after a few plays that becomes easy as well. Setup is not bad. For a heavy euro game, this feels pretty low to me on the admin side. But I might have a warped view on these things given I've been playing Lacerda games for a long time now. Thanks for watching!

Excellent tuto for this game ! I just spot one mistake to precise (which is really good for a Lacerda game, you’re the first with an almost perfect ;) ) Minute 24:54 influence for Hephaïstos same condition than for humans, meaning only if he is more evolved he gains +2PI or you gain influence only if you are more evolved which is not yet the case ;) I’m still relaying on your video to get used to this game which is among my favourite with On mars and Lisboa :)
